We’re nearing crunch time in the 2020 NFL season as the NFL Conference Championships are upon us. In the AFC, the Tennessee Titans take on Kansas City Chiefs, while a mouth-watering tie of Green Bay Packers versus San Francisco makes up the NFC championship. Who do you think will win?
NCAAF Bowls: LSU The Hot Favorites to be Crowned Champions
A dramatic season of college football is almost over but before we can call time on another exciting campaign, we need to get the bowls out of the way. Only four teams can lift the championship, LSU, Ohio State, Clemson, and Oklahoma. Who is your money going on?
Only four college football teams remain in the hunt for the championship and football fans cannot wait until they take to the field to do battle.
LSU are the +115 firm favorites followed by both Ohio State and Clemson tied with +215 college football betting odds from Bovada. Oklahoma come in at a distant +1000 so an upset doesn’t look on the cards.
- LSU are the +115 favorites to win the 2020 NCAA College Football Championship
- Ohio State are +215 joint second-favorites to win the title
- Clemson are +215 to win the championship, tied with Ohio State
- Nobody fancies Oklahoma for glory as is evident by their +1000 odds
LSU Huge Favorites to Beat Oklahoma
You will have noticed that Oklahoma have +1000 odds of winning the NCAA College Football Championship and that’s because they have to take on LSU in the first of the semi-finals before they can even dream of lifting the trophy.
LSU went 13-0 and are going to take some beating. They outscored their opponents by 346 points in those 13 games, which is why they are -550 to win the game against Oklahoma.
We cannot see how Oklahoma can contain Joe LSU’s Joe Burrow. Burrow won the Heisman Trophy and posted some sensational figures during the season. The projected number one 2020 NFL Draft pick has thrown 4,715 yards and 48 touchdowns this season, which is nothing short of phenomenal.
What is interesting is the spread. Bovada, where you can grab a $250 bonus to use on this game, have LSU with a -13.5 spread at -110. That’s almost two touchdowns. Now, we love LSU and think they will make it to the final and go all the way, but we’re also very tempted to back Oklahoma at -110 with a +13.5 spread.
Oklahoma aren’t going to beat LSU but we think they will keep the score down to under two touchdowns. What do you think?
Pick: Oklahoma with +13.5 at -110 odds
Ohio versus Clemson: Two Amazing Defenses
There’s nothing to choose between Ohio State and Clemson in the other semi-final. Both teams finished with a 13-0 record, and deservedly so. Both massively outscored their opponents. Clemson scored 605 points and only allowed 138 against. Ohio put 633 points on the board and only conceded 163.
Surely something has to give in this game?
If you want to bet on the outcome with any of our leading sports betting partners you will see Clemson are the slight -120 favorites. Ohio State comes in at +100. Likewise, those of you preferring to back the spread will get around -115 in a -2.0 on Clemson compared to -105 on Ohio with a 2.0 point advantage.
We initially picked Clemson, which you can read about here, but now we’re opting to back the Ohio State Buckeyes simply because they have an elite running back in JK Dobbins to back up quarterback Justin Fields. Then there’s Chase Young who is destined for super-stardom and could be the difference between the two sides.
Pick: Ohio State to win at +100
LSU to be Crowned Champions
Although the final is yet to be determined, we think it will see LSU take on Ohio State at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. LSU has the look and feel of champions and that is exactly what they will become on January 13, 2020.
Pick: LSU to win the NCAA College Football Championship at +115
