The NFL season is set for its grand finale as the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LX in Levi’s Stadium in California.
The Seahawks have had a tremendous season, going 14-3 in the regular season before two dominant playoff victories to earn their place in the big game, while the Patriots also went 14-3 in the regular season, with three playoff wins to claim their spot in the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks had a very strong regular season, but it started poorly as they fell to a 13-17 defeat against the San Francisco 49ers on the opening day.
Seattle responded with three consecutive wins against the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, and Arizona Cardinals, before they fell to a close 35-38 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week five.
The team then earned two wins either side of their bye week, making it four wins in a row before their final regular-season defeat against the Los Angeles Rams. Since then, the team has gone on a remarkable nine-game winning streak, including the final seven games of the campaign, which saw them get revenge of the 49ers and Rams too.
In the playoffs, they took on those familiar foes once again. The divisional round saw them take on the 49ers and dominate, earning a comfortable 41-6 victory, where they managed to stop San Francisco from scoring any points in three of the four quarters.
Seattle then earned their spot in the Super Bowl, and their first NFC Championship title since 2014, as they defeated the Rams 31-27.
Much like the Seahawks, the New England Patriots had a strong season that started slowly with an opening day defeat against the Las Vegas Raiders. They claimed their first win in the next game against the Miami Dolphins, but then they fell to defeat once more against the Steelers in week 3.
But the Patriots went on a sensational ten-game winning run from that point on, including dominant wins over the Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants.
That run was brought to an end after a bye week, as they fell to defeat against the Buffalo Bills in their first game after that break, before ending the regular campaign with three consecutive victories over the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and Dolphins.
That set up a Wild Card clash against the Los Angeles Chargers, where the Patriots earned a dominant 16-3 win and their first victory over the franchise since 2021. They then took on the Houston Texans in the divisional round and claimed another strong 28-16 win to move to the AFC Championship game.
In that game, New England took on the Denver Broncos in a low-scoring affair, and they claimed their first Conference championship since 2018 with a 10-7 win, and they now have a chance to become the team with the most playoff victories in NFL history, after tying the 49ers’ record of 40 postseason wins.

Neither of these teams were anticipated to be taking place in the Super Bowl this year before the season started, but they have done a terrific job and definitely deserve their spot.
Seattle come into the game as favorites following their terrific performances both offensively and defensively, and the bookies have seen a lot of money come in on them to beat the spread, which started with them as -3.5 favorites.
Since then, the spread has pushed out to -5 with a lot of bookies, but we’ve spotted them at -4.5 too, and we like the look of the price based on how these teams play.
The Patriots have been sensational in attack, averaging 28.8 points scored per game, a total only bettered by the 30.5 points per game scored by the LA Rams. Seattle were just behind them, ranked third, with 28.4 points per game scored.
Defensively, there wasn’t a big gap in the regular season either, with New England allowing 18.8 points per game against them, while the Seahawks allowed just 17.2 points per game. But so far in the playoffs, its been a different story. The Patriots have averaged just 18 points scored per game in the postseason, while the Seahawks have averaged double that amount.
The Seahawks are in their first Super Bowl since 2015, where these two teams met, and New England came out on top 28-24. But this is a chance for Seattle to get some revenge, and the gap in their offense is too big not to take the spread.
