The NFL continues in week 11 as the Philadelphia Eagles travel to take on the Detroit Lions and try to continue their recent good form.
The Eagles have had an excellent start to the season so far and come into this game with a 7-2 record, while the Lions have had a strong start with a 6-3 record to date.

After claiming the Super Bowl title and stopping the Kansas City Chiefs from a historic three-peat, Philadelphia began their season in picture-perfect fashion.
The Eagles hosted the Dallas Cowboys in their season opener and claimed a 24-20 win, despite Jalen Carter being ejected after just six seconds. They then took on the Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch and earned another win over their rivals, running the clock down late on for a 20-17 victory, proving it was no fluke.
Week 3 wasn’t going to plan against the Los Angeles Rams, as the team found themselves 26-7 down in the second half. But the team put together a sensational 26-0 run, including a last-second touchdown after a blocked field goal, to claim a huge 33-26 victory.
A clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers followed next, and they continued their 100% record by winning 31-25, but that record was snapped the very next game as the team collapsed in the fourth quarter to lose 21-17 against the Denver Broncos. The New York Giants then made it back-to-back defeats for the reigning champs, as another second-half collapse saw them comfortably beaten 34-17.
Philadelphia bounced back into the win column in their next outing, dominating against the Minnesota Vikings, before claiming revenge against the Giants in their next game with a dominant 38-20 win. Last time out, the Eagles claimed a less-than-thrilling 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers to make it three in a row.
The Lions started their season in less than impressive fashion after a strong 2024 season, as the Green Bay Packers handed them a one-sided 13-27 defeat in the opening game.
However, the team responded excellently and became a free-scoring unit, claiming a 52-21 win over the Chicago Bears in their next outing. They then took on the Baltimore Ravens in the following week and earned a 38-30 victory, scoring a touchdown in every quarter.
The team continued their offensive charge with a 34-10 win over the Cleveland Browns next, while also putting on a strong defensive display in the process. Detroit made it four wins in a row against the Cincinnati Bengals, scoring 37 points in the process once again before fighting off a late comeback attempt.
The winning run was brought to an end in their next game, however, as the Kansas City Chiefs earned a dominant 30-17 win. But the Lions got back to winning ways quickly, defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-9 before a bye week.
Since returning to action, Detroit have gone 1-1. A clash against the Minnesota Vikings ended in a disappointing 27-24 defeat, but the Lions quickly responded against the Washington Commanders to get back on the winning trail last time out, and earned a 44-22 win to continue their high-scoring run.

The Eagles have had a very strong season so far, with key players like Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley maintaining their high level from the previous campaign too.
But while they have shone offensively, it’s the defense that has been very effective so far, allowing just 303 points all season, which ranks them as the second-best defensive unit in the NFL. Nakobe Dean and Jaelan Phillips have been contributing with tackles and sacks regularly, and the overall strength of their roster remains impressive.
The Lions have been a very strong team themselves this season, scoring 31.4 points per game on average, ranking them as the second-best offense in the NFL this season, behind only the Indianapolis Colts.
The underdogs have been quite profitable this season in the NFL in what has been quite an unpredictable campaign, but while Detroit are very much live in that sense, the Eagles at home should prove to be too strong for them over four quarters.
Philadelphia will be keen to put right a disappointing performance against Green Bay on Monday night, and they are the most adaptable team in the league, able to win in a variety of ways.
At odds of -135, there is excellent value in taking the reigning and defending champions to win by two or more points at home, so take it while you can.
