Dallas have had a very mixed season so far in 2025, and heading into this game they are yet to win back-to-back games.
The season began with a disappointing 24-20 defeat to the reigning champions and this weeks opponents the Philadelphia Eagles, before they picked up an overtime 40-37 victory over the New York Giants in week two. The Cowboys then fell to a 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears, before they were held to the only tie in the NFL season so far, as they drew 40-40 with the Green Bay Packers in week 4.
An exciting 37-22 win over the New York Giants came next in week 5, before a road trip to take on the Carolina Panthers ended in a 30-27 defeat once again. The Cowboys then took on the Washington Commanders and claimed a dominant 44-22 victory, but once again their momentum was halted quickly as they fell to back-to-back defeats against the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals.
A bye week followed which allowed the team to recharge and reset, and they then returned last time out with an impressive 33-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, and they will now be hoping to continue that with consecutive wins for the first time.

The Eagles hosted the Dallas Cowboys in their season opener and claimed a 24-20 win, despite Jalen Carter being ejected after just six seconds. They then took on the Kansas City Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch and earned another win over their rivals, running the clock down late on for a 20-17 victory, and cementing their pre-season status as favorites.
Week 3 saw Philadelphia take on the Los Angeles Rams, and a sensational 26-0 run in the second half, including a last-second touchdown after a blocked field goal, saw them complete a stunning comeback from 26-7 down to claim a huge 33-26 victory.
Philadelphia then took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and claimed a 31-25 win to move to 4-0, but their 100% record ended against the Denver Broncos in week 5 as they collapsed in the final quarter and fell to a 21-17 defeat.
The New York Giants then made it back-to-back defeats for the reigning champs, as another second-half collapse saw them comfortably beaten. The Eagles finally bounced back into the win column in their next outing against the Minnesota Vikings, before claiming revenge against the Giants in their next game with a statement 38-20 win.
After a bye week, the team extended their record with a 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers before a comfortable 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions last week to make it four in a row.
The Eagles have been right up there with the best teams in the NFL this season, and as reigning champions they know exactly how to navigate a campaign for maximum efficiency.
The Cowboys are coming into this game on the back of a short week after their Monday night clash with the Raiders, and that will provide an in-form Eagles team with plenty of reason to be confident, even though they’re on the road in this one.
Dallas will have benefited from a bye week and a later game in week 11, but they are now facing a huge step up in competition and also on a short week, the exact opposite of what saw them be successful in their last outing. They also had the huge emotional charge of playing with the tragic death of Marshawn Kneeland on their minds.
A Philadelphia win seems inevitable this week as a result, and the spread of -3.5 is a very generous one from the bookies. It’s worth noting that in their first meeting earlier this season, the Eagles covered that with a four-point win.
If the spread moves to four points or more then it may be one to avoid, but while the value is on -3.5 at plus-money, then grab it quickly.
