The Vikings improved to a brilliant 10-2 record for the season last week when they claimed a 27-22 win over the New York Jets.
They’ve now won nine of their last ten games, beating the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, Washington Commanders and Miami Dolphins along the way.
Their last defeat was a humbling one against the Dallas Cowboys, as they were battered 40-3 in week 11, but have since bounced back with two wins on the bounce.
Detroit moved to 5-7 for the season so far when they turned in their best performance of the season last weekend to claim a 40-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
They have now won four of their last five games, with their only loss coming to the Bills on Thanksgiving Day.
This Vikings vs Lions matchup features two of the best offenses in the NFL, along with questionable defensive units which means points are the way to go when it comes to betting.
Minnesota’s offense is ranked 11th across the entire NFL in scoring, while the Lions are ranked sixth across the league.
Meanwhile, both defenses are ranked in the bottom 12 in scoring, with Detroit ranking dead last.
So far this year the Over has landed in seven of the 12 games the Vikings have played in, while the Over has landed in eight of the 12 games the Lions have competed in.
The Over has also landed in four of the past five meetings between these two teams overall, and four of the last five times they’ve matched up in Detroit.
The eye test tells you the Over should land, and the stats back it up. Back the Overs and enjoy a brilliant game of football.

The Dolphins saw their run of momentum halted last week as they suffered a humbling defeat against San Francisco 49ers to go to 8-4, snapping their five game win streak.
The Chargers are now 6-6 for the season, after losing three of their last four games against the 49ers, the Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders last weekend.
Two more really solid offensive units go head-to-head in this match up. The Dolphins are the sixth-best scoring offense and the Chargers are 14th but with the right stylistic match up this could really go off.
The Dolphins present the right matchup since their defense is ranked 25th in scoring, while the Chargers are actually even worse being ranked as 30th across the NFL.
The Over is 4-1 in the past five games the Dolphins have played while the Over is 2-1 in the past three Chargers’ games. Add to that the fact the Over is 4-0 in the past four Dolphins’ games on the road and 5-1 in the past six games the Chargers have faced a team with a winning record.
It all adds up to the Over landing once again, so expect points in LA on Sunday.

The Chiefs saw their five-game winning streak snapped last weekend as they suffered defeat to the Cincinnatti Bengals, moving their record to 9-3 for the season so far.
Denver on the other hand have now lost each of their last four games, with losses to Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens, moving their record to 3-9 for the season.
The Chiefs are are no doubt out for revenge after last week, and they couldn’t have picked a better opponent to come up against in Week 14.
Normally, the Broncos play the Chiefs close at home. They covered the spread in two of their past three meetings with the Chiefs, one of which was in Denver.
However, this is a much different Broncos team with Russell Wilson under center. They’ve since got worse, and that seems like something unlikely to happen this time.
Historically speaking, when the Chiefs cover against the Broncos, they cover by a wide margin. In the past four games that Kansas City has covered the spread against the Broncos, they have won by at least 13 points. With the spread set at -9, get on it and watch the domination unfold.
