NBA All-Star Game 2020: Team Giannis To Exact Revenge

Updated February 9, 2023By Chris Boline

The 2020 NBA All-Star game takes place on February 16th at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois and sees Team LeBron face Team Giannis in basketballs biggest exhibition game.

Team Giannis Favorites To Get Revenge

The 2020 NBA All-stars game is almost a carbon copy of last years game as it pits Team LeBron against Team Giannis in NBAs biggest exhibition game. Last year, Team LeBron won the game 178-164 in what was incredible viewing.

Team Giannis was 16 points ahead in the first quarter in 2019 but still slumped to defeat. This year will be different with his team built around speed and size. Backing Giannis Antetokounmpo is the likes of Kemba Walker, Trae Young, Pascal Siakam, and Joel Embiid That roster has some incredible talent among it and should be enough to get the job done.

You cannot write off the chances of Team LeBron, however, which is reflected in the +100 odds on the NBA All-Star game 2020 from Bovada. Team LeBron can call upon James Harden, Luka Doncic, Kawhi Leonard, and Anthony Davis. As you can see from both rosters, its going to be a tight game.

Pick: Team Giannis at -120

New Format For This Game

This game features a brand new format that makes it practically impossible to wager on the NBA All-Star Game odds over under 2020. This years ball game takes place across four quarters, each starting with a fresh scoreboard.

The scores are then added up at the start of the fourth quarter, which will be a tribute to Kobe Bryant who recently died in a tragic helicopter crash. The team leading at the start of the fourth quarter has 24-points added to their total, the jersey number of the late Bryant.

Most online sports betting sites are not even offering over/under betting odds because of this. Wed advise staying away from this market anyway because those added 24-points could play havoc with the odds.

2020 NBA All-Star Special Bets

The special competitions surround the NBA All-Star game are great fun for the spectator and also for those of you wanting to place a bet.

Trae Young is the favorite to win the 2020 NBA 3-Point contest with betting odds of +355, the same as Damian Lillard. Young made 37% of his three-pointers last season and averaging 34.6% over his career. Lillard has a career average of 37.1% and 39.8% this year.

Were going for Buddy Hield to win at +700 thanks to his career average of 41% of three-pointers made. This season is his worst since 2016-17 but hes still made 38.6% of three-pointers this campaign.

The complete opposite of the three-pointer is the Slam Dunk contest. Orlando Magics Aaron Gordon is the +120 favorite with Bovada and theres no reason to bet against him. if you do want longer odds, go for Derrick Jones Jr. at +175 of Miami Heat.
