On February 4th, the 2024 Grammy Awards will be held and honor the biggest names in the music industry with some stars being up for multiple awards. Per the MyBookie website, the online sportsbook has rolled out the latest odds for the award show with everything from Record of the Year to Best New Artist. Of course, one artist that needs little introduction has flown to the top of the favorites list in multiple categories, that being pop megastar, Taylor Swift. Per MyBookie’s site, Swift is the favorite in a slew of categories from Album of the Year (Midnights, -300) to Record of the Year (Anti-Hero, -180). In fact, Swift headlines four different betting markets as the favorite at MyBookie but she does face stiff competition from the likes of Miley Cyrus and Ed Sheeran as well.

In this article, SBS will be going over the latest news coming from MyBookie as well as more notes and information coming from the website.

Swift’s album “Midnights” has been a stellar smash

According to the MyBookie website, Midnights (-300) is the front-runner for winning Album of the Year, and for good reason. Already many publications have featured Midnights on their lists of albums of the year and praised the album’s critical and commercial successes as a testament to Swift’s enduring popularity. While MyBookie only has betting markets for certain categories, Midnights actually received six nominations at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards and has been the centerpiece of the extremely popular Eras Tour (2023-24). Moreover, Swift has seen even more fame this year given her crossover romance with Kansas Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce which has been the subject of widespread media attention.

Opposing Swift in this category for Album of the Year is SZA and her critically acclaimed album, “SOS” (+270). This album serves as the follow-up to her previous one (Ctrl) which was released back in 2017. SOS debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and the album and its tracks received a total of nine nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album. The other two albums seeing high marks in this category are Boygenius’ “The Record” and John Batiste’s “World Music Radio” both at +1500. However, they face some strong competition from the two dominant records in front of them.

Swift also the favorite to win Record of the Year

In another huge category, Swift is the top pick for Record of the Year at -180 with “Anti-Hero” followed by Miley Cyrus and “Flowers” at +250. SZA is also showcased in this category again with her song “Kill Bill” noted at +300 in the MyBookie betting markets. Meanwhile, Victoria Money and Billie Eilish both have entries in this list at +800  that could make a splash. In terms of Song of the Year, Swift is the favorite again at -150, followed closely by Cyrus’ Flowers (+200) and SZA (+400). Indeed these three pop titans should be duking it out all night at the Grammy Awards and have earned the top spots for consistently producing pop hits.

Regarding the category of Best New Artist, an overwhelming favorite has emerged in the Bronx’s Ice Spice (-500). First gaining major recognition in late 2022, Spice has risen to prominence via multiple hit songs and collaborations with everyone from Nicki Minaj to Aqua and Swift herself. She already has been honored with the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist and the Impact Award from the BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. The other contender in this category is the versatile performer Coco Jones at +700. After first being featured on Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing, she would go on to star in multiple Disney Channel shows and sitcoms. In 2022, she signed to Def Jam Recordings, and just last year was nominated for five Grammy Awards and has already won a BET Award and an NAACP Image Award.

In terms of other available categories on the website, Midnights is also recognized as the favorite (+150) for Best Pop Vocal Album of the Year followed closely by Ed Sheeran’s Minus (+200). Meanwhile, Cyrus and Swift are battling it out for top honors again for Best Pop Solo Performance with Flowers (+110) and Anti-Hero (+120), respectively. Finally, if you are a little tired of the Swift and Cyrus show, the strong favorite for Best Pop Dance Recording is veteran Kylie Minogue with Padam Padam (-140). Referred to by the European press as the “Princess of Pop” and a style icon, Minogue has won a Grammy Award before, along with three Brit Awards and eighteen ARIA Music Awards.
