Following a highly entertaining campaign last season, college football is gearing up for the summer off-season, but MyBookie still has the early scoop on who is favored to win some conference crowns. Per the website, MyBookie has a couple of initial favorites to win certain college football conferences in 2025 – this includes the likes of the ACC, Big 12, SEC, and the Big Ten. Of course, much can still change with summer, not even here, but it is still an interesting indicator of who the early favorites are to take home the hardware this upcoming year. Many of the teams indicated on these futures markets are definitely marquee brands and are in a fantastic position to once again make some noise in 2025 and into 2026.

In this article, SBS will be going over the latest gaming news coming from MyBookie, along with some additional notes and thoughts coming from the website and beyond.

Texas leads the early markets on SEC title

Last year was a banner one for the Longhorns and fourth-year head coach Steve Sarkisian. Texas accrued a slew of accolades, including a record of 13-3 (7-1) in SEC play while making it to the Cotton Bowl (College Football Playoff Semifinal). As the champions of the Peach Bowl last season (they knocked off Arizona State in a double overtime thriller), Texas ended as the No. 3-ranked team in the final Coaches Poll. At +250, they are the early contender to win the SEC this year, even after having twelve Longhorn players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, setting a program record in the process. Of course, the main player to watch here is quarterback Arch Manning, who is taking over for the departed Quinn Ewers. However, it should be mentioned that this will be a hyper-competitive race with Georgia (+360) and Alabama (+600) close behind.

In the Big Ten Conference, the reigning national champions, Ohio State, are slated as the favorites at +180 to once again hoist the championship. Last season, the Buckeyes were the first 12-team College Football Playoff champion (winning four playoff games). Additionally, they were the first team since the 2007 LSU Tigers to win a national championship with two losses on the season and the first team to win the title without winning their respective conference championship game since the 2021 Georgia Bulldogs. Running through each of the rounds, the Buckeyes scored double-digit victories over each of the opponents they faced from Tennessee to Notre Dame in the CFP National Championship. Nonetheless, they will face stiff competition in the conference from Penn State (+260) and Oregon (+265), who are both supremely talented and itching to knock off the Buckeyes.

K-State registers as an early conference favorite

Per the main site at MyBookie, Kansas State is the early contender to win the Big 12 Conference title next season at +550. Last year, the team won the Rate Bowl with a thrilling 44-41 win over Rutgers and finished the year at 9-4. Meanwhile, Texas Tech is close behind at +600 while Arizona State has a similar mark of +600. The Big 12, at least according to MyBookie, seems to be more wide open than the previously mentioned conferences in this article, given the spread of odds for these various teams. For instance, last season, Arizona State had a banner campaign last year and is currently acknowledged as the third-best team in the conference.

Clemson, Hurricanes duking it out in ACC

For the final conference futures rundown, Clemson is acknowledged as the early frontrunner for winning the ACC crown, at least in the Atlantic Division. The Tigers, at +165, are one of the most prolific teams in the conference and are a yearly contender to take home the title and crush the competition. That said, they are set to face some spirited competition from Miami as the Hurricanes (+330) are perhaps on the verge of finally being “back.” Though they have been close in the past, this could be a great season to break through with a talented cast of players and a stronger surge of NIL booster support.

Meanwhile, other teams like Louisville and SMU (both at +650) are aiming for a say here when it comes to the ACC crown. SMU last season had a fantastic campaign, making the CFP as one of the last teams in, and was a force throughout the season. Of course, they also lost some significant playmakers last season, and this could be a great year for them to install themselves as regular contenders for the ACC crown. While the summer is not even here, there certainly is plenty of speculation on what might happen this football season.
