The former governor of South Dakota has been serving as the 8th United States Secretary of Homeland Security since last year. She has gained national attention for opposing statewide mask mandates and also advocating voluntary measures. Additionally, with deportation and border control being such a larger issue in the country, Noem has been at the forefront of this highly controversial and adversarial topic. As early as April 2025, multiple polls found that the majority of Americans thought that the deportations went “too far.”
Following her, Pam Bondi is next in line at +225. A member of the Republican Party, she has served as the 87th United States Attorney General since 2025. By 2024, she led the legal arm of the “Trump-aligned” America First Policy Institute. Following her is Tulsi Gabbard at +300. Gabbard is an American politician and U.S. military officer who has been serving as the eighth director of national intelligence (DNI) since 2025. Prior to that, she served as the U.S. representative for Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021 and in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 2002 to 2024. After Trump nominated Gabbard for DNI, her past statements on Syria and the Russian invasion of Ukraine drew scrutiny and concern.
Prediction: A wide-open race, it appears that Noem has the leading edge here, given how much more volatile border control and immigration issues are now even with 2026 just starting.
Noted in other sources, the role Musk had with DOGE is unclear. In the past, the White House asserted he was a senior advisor to the president, denied he was making decisions, and claimed Amy Gleason was acting administrator. However, in May 2025, Musk announced plans to pivot away from DOGE. To this point, and even after the Tesla boss’s offboarding, Trump had maintained his support for Musk. That is, until they clashed in June over passage of the Big Beautiful Bill. Regardless, DOGE has claimed to have saved hundreds of billions, although other government entities have estimated it to have cost the government $21.7 billion.
Prediction: Another intriguing market, you can never rule out the possibility of two mega powers like Trump and Musk reuniting (+1200). That said, these two also have gigantic egos, and it would have to be a situation where both feel like they are winning, which could be tough to do given their huge standards and prior history.
Noted on the same sportsbook, this is a peculiar market given that the American actress, while hugely popular, does not seem to have any political experience or ambitions. Nonetheless, the market here for her being appointed as a US Ambassador is a “yes” at +2500. She is known for her starring performances in Euphoria, The White Lotus, and her various endorsements and social media fame. In terms of being an ambassador, she is already one for Armani Beauty and also Laneige.
Prediction: This is an interesting market, but the odds of Sweeney becoming an ambassador are low for a reason, as she focuses on other ventures, but not as low as the next market.
Even with cabinet turnover likely given the facts from the first Trump administration, Sweeney has a higher likelihood of being an Ambassador versus a cabinet member (+2500). Of course, you can never say never.
Prediction: Sweeney is getting ready for the upcoming season of Euphoria, so her next career move as the head of the Department of the Interior will have to wait.
