The NFL returns for week 9 as the Kansas City Chiefs travel to take on the Buffalo Bills and try to continue their recent good form.
The Chiefs have had a mixed start to the season so far and come into this game with a 5-3 record, while the Bills have had a strong start with a 5-2 record to date.

After being right on the brink of becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, Kansas had a difficult start to their campaign as they looked to bounce back from disappointment.
The Chiefs’ opening game of the season saw them travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil to take on the Los Angeles Chargers, where they lost star receiver Xavier Worthy to injury and fell to a 27-21 defeat at the same time. Kansas then took on the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch from the Super Bowl, but they once again saw defeat as Jalen Hurts led them to a 20-17 defeat.
Kansas finally got their first win of the season in week 3 as they registered a comfortable 22-9 victory over the New York Giants, with a strong defensive display on show. They then secured back-to-back wins as they took on the Baltimore Ravens, turning in a strong offensive performance that resulted in 37 points in a 37-20 win.
That momentum came to an end against the Jacksonville Jaguars as they fell to a 28-31 defeat, where they attempted to stage a late comeback but fell short. Since then though, they have been able to build momentum once again with three consecutive victories.
Kansas took on the Detroit Lions in their next game and claimed a strong 30-17 win to get back to winning ways, before taking on the Las Vegas Raiders and turning in a blowout 31-0 victory with a perfect performance. Last time out the Chiefs faced off against the Washington Commanders, and we saw another commanding performance that gave them a 28-7 win and brings them into this game full of momentum.
The Bills enjoyed a fine season in 2024 as they went 13-4 before suffering defeat to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game, and they have started the 2025 campaign in great form.
Buffalo’s opening game of the season saw them take on the Baltimore Ravens, and in a super entertaining clash, they managed to come away with a thrilling 41-40 win. They followed that up with a trip to take on the New York Jets and moved to 2-0, earning a 30-10 victory.
Week 3 saw the Bills take on the Miami Dolphins in another exciting game, as they claimed a 31-21 victory, before hosting the New Orleans Saints and earning a 31-19 win to extend their 100% record for the season.
That run came to an end in the next game, however, as the New England Patriots travelled to the Highmark Stadium and won 23-20, before Buffalo then suffered a second consecutive defeat in their following game as the Atlanta Falcons won 24-14 in Week 6.
Buffalo had a bye in week 7, but returned to action last time out with a dominant 40-9 win over the Carolina Panthers to get back on track ahead of this match up.

There is going to be a lot of incredible scoring talent on show during this game, but the Under is the bet to make when you consider the action on the market so far ahead of the match.
The points spread initially opened at 51.5 points before bettors jumped on the Over, which has forced bookies to move the line. But the initial thought was less, which leaves you questioning why.
Buffalo will undoubtedly be keen to stop the Chiefs from starting quickly and building an early lead, which will likely lead to them working the clock from the start, thereby leaving fewer opportunities for points to be scored.
The Chiefs are a passing team at their best, but the Bills have only allowed 16 pass completions for 20 or more yards all season, which could see Patrick Mahomes force a rush a bit more, where Buffalo struggles a bit more than the average team. Kansas are not the strongest rushing team, but they are always very good at taking advantage of an opponent’s weakness.
So far this season, only one Buffalo Bills game has seen the total hit this Over total, and that was their opening game of the season, while the Chiefs have seen only two games reach that total. That pattern is unlikely to change this weekend, so take the Under.
