The NFL is back for week 11 of the regular season as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch from last season’s Super Bowl.
The Chiefs have had a fantastic season so far with a 7-2 record heading into this game, while the Eagles have been even better with a stunning 8-1 record themselves.

The reigning Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs stepped into the 2023 season with a trip to face off with the Detroit Lions, with many expecting a rout, but eventually suffering a shock come-from-behind defeat despite having led 14-7 at half-time.
Kansas bounced back in week 2 though against the Jacksonville Jaguars, putting in a solid display of defensive strength and efficient offense to claim a 17-9 win and get back on track of their championship defense.
Then in week 3 they showed their true selves as Mahomes threw three passing touchdowns to help the Chiefs romp to a 41-10 victory, including a 27-0 second quarter. They followed that with a 23-20 win over the New York Jets in week 4, before claiming a dominant win over the Minnesota Vikings immediately after that in week 5.
Then came a 19-8 win over Denver Broncos in a poor quality game, before a strong 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers to stretch their win streak to six. But then in a second meeting with the Broncos they found themselves on the end of another shocking defeat, this time losing 24-9. They recovered last time out in Germany with a 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins before a bye last week.
Philadelphia on the other hand have been on an absolute role this season, picking up where they left off last season when they dominated until falling at the last hurdle.
The Eagles won their first five games of the season beating New England Patriots 25-20, Minnesota 34-28, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-11, Washington Commanders 34-31 in overtime and Los Angeles Rams 23-14. Their first defeat came away to the New York Jets 20-14 in week 6.
But they have since bounced back with a 31-17 win over Miami Dolphins, 38-31 win over Washington and then 28-23 win over the Dallas Cowboys last time out before a bye in week 10.
The Eagles and Chiefs have met just five times since 2009, with the Chiefs winning four of those five games and covering the spread on every occasion, including in the Super Bowl back in February.
The last time these teams met was in Super Bowl LVII last year. The Chiefs took down the Eagles 38-35 to cover as 1-point underdogs while the Over of 51.5 hit easily. The teams combined for over 700 yards of offense in the shootout.
If there’s one thing that is seemingly a lock in the NFL these days, it’s backing Patrick Mahomes‘ Chiefs to cover the spread when it’s less than a field goal.
It’s no secret that Kansas City has struggled to cover big numbers over the course of the last few seasons, but the Chiefs thrive in this role where they only need to win by a field goal for their backers to cash in for a winning ticket. In fact, for his career, Mahomes is 15-4-1 against the spread as an underdog or favorite of under a field goal.
Both teams haven’t changed much from last season so we expect a very similar game to last season’s finale which means the Chiefs should get it done once again.

Kansas are averaging 20.8 points scored per game this season while Philadelphia are averaging an incredible 28 points per game offensively. Defensively, both teams are very strong too. The Chiefs are only allowing an average of 15.8 points per game, while Philadelphia are averaging 21.6 points per game against.
The games against each other have seen the over hit every time in the last five meetings, and there’s no reason that won’t be the case here once again.
