We are two years away from citizens all over the United States getting in their votes for a new president. Currently Donald Trump is running the show and he’s enjoying his second term in charge. However, soon enough, someone will need to take over. With all of that said, JD Vance remains the favorite to win the 2028 U.S. Presidential Election. Will he end up coming out on top?

That’s what a lot of people have in mind, as Vance is currently serving as Trump’s Vice President. Vance has made it pretty clear that he’s planning to run in 2028 and he’s already got a ton of support from republicans everywhere. Now, though, we just have to wait and see how his main opposition is going to be on the republican ticket. Regardless, he seems poised to take over for Trump.

“My attitude is the American people elected me to be vice president,” Vance said in a recent interview. “I’m going to work as hard as I can to make the president successful over the next 3 years and 3 months, and if we get to a point where something else is in the offer, let’s handle it then.”

According to the best betting sites, Vance has been given +250 odds to be elected as the next president of the USA. Obviously, there’s still a ton of time for things to get finalized in terms of the candidates and the odds could change depending on who ends up being the Democratic candidate who runs against him. Will he end up winning in a few years? That’s up in the air.

Will Donald Trump try to run for a third term as the U.S. president?

A big question a lot of people have on their minds is will Donald Trump try to run for a third term as the U.S. president? This shouldn’t even be a discussion, as no one has even gotten a third term and you’re supposed to be done after two terms. However, Trump has hinted several times that he’s going to do everything in his power to make history and run again in 2028. That seems unlikely, though.

“But I can tell you that we are not going to take our foot off the gas pedal,” Trump said. “We’re going to deliver for the American people, and we’ve got a great run ahead of us — he’ll have four strong years. Based on what I read, I guess I’m not allowed to run. So we’ll see what happens.”

As for the election, Trump actually holds +1000 odds to be named the president again. This is unheard of, as he indeed should be done after his second term, but those odds tell us that the Vegas oddsmakers think Trump is going to go all-in to have one more go with things. It would be historic if it happens, but again, it just seems quite unlikely at this point.

There are other U.S. presidential candidates to keep in mind moving forward

While there’s a ton of focus on Trump and Vance right now, keep in mind that there are other U.S. presidential candidates to keep in mind moving forward. The list of course includes Gavin Newsom, Marco Rubio, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Pete Buttigieg and others. From our chair, it seems like Newsom might be the one who will be ready to give Newsom the most competition.

Per the best politics betting sites, Newsom holds +350 odds to be named the next U.S. President, which is second only to Vance. Plenty of people think that Newsom is going to end up being the Democratic candidate, which would set up a fantastic race between him and Vance. You already know that if they’re the two last ones standing, the debates would be quite interesting.

A lot of people in the USA are anticipating this all coming down to Newsom and Vance, but the door is still open for Trump and his family to have a say in things. It will be interesting to see how everything goes down here, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Newsom and Vance end up battling it out. That’d be a tight race if things go down that way, but again, nothing is close to finalized in terms of who the final candidates will be.
