The NFL is back for week 14 of the regular season as the Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles in a huge Sunday night football clash at the AT&T Stadium.
The Eagles have had an unbelievable season so far with a 10-2 record heading into this game, while the Cowboys have been excellent too with a fantastic 9-3 record themselves.

Dallas have had a fantastic season so far and have one of the best records in the entire NFL with eight wins and three defeats from their first 11 games.
They started the season with a stunning 40-0 win over the New York Giants week 1, before following up with a second win over the New York Jets 30-10 in week 2. The Cowboys then suffered their first loss of the season in a 16-28 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, before another loss in week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers saw them get thrashed 42-10.
There was a win between those games that saw them claim a 38-3 victory over the New England Patriots. They followed that with back-to-back wins over Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams either side of their bye, before a trip to Philadelphia Eagles saw them defeated again.
Since then however they have won their last four games on the bounce, dominating with a 49-17 win over the Giants again, a 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers, a 45-10 win over the Washington Commanders and then a brilliant 41-35 win over the Seatle Seahawks most recently.
Philadelphia have been on an absolute role this season, picking up where they left off last season when they dominated until falling at the last hurdle.
The Eagles won their first five games of the season beating New England Patriots 25-20, Minnesota 34-28, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-11, Washington Commanders 34-31 in overtime and Los Angeles Rams 23-14. Their first defeat and only defeat of the season came on the road at the New York Jets 20-14 in week 6.
But they have since bounced back with a 31-17 win over Miami Dolphins, 38-31 win over Washington again and then a 28-23 win over the Dallas Cowboys before a bye in week 10.
They then took on the Chiefs in a rematch from last year’s Super Bowl and claimed a stunning win on the road as Jalen Hurts put in a fantastic performance, before another overtime win over the Buffalo Bills earned them a 37-34 win.
Last time out though they were well beaten by the San Francisco 49ers at home in a 42-19 defeat to snap their second five-game winning streak of the season.
The Eagles have been out-gained by at least 98 yards in five straight games, and they’ve won four of them. The Bills out-gained them by 127 yards, and the Eagles defense couldn’t get off the field.
The Eagles are 7-1 in one-score games, with five of those coming against teams at .500 or worse. But they have already beaten the Cowboys just a few weeks ago, and they have the roster and the abilities to do it again.
Jalen Hurts is doing his bit and the first game between these two teams saw him get two touchdowns and zero interceptions for 207 yards.
Even if Dallas find a way to get the win, it’s likely to be a close game. The 49ers are a much better outfit than the Cowboys and the chances of them thrashing Philadelphia and handing them back-to-back one-sided losses are slim.
There is solid value in backing the Eagles to win, but to play it safe on the road backing them just to cover the spread is the way to go here.

Both of these teams’ strengths lay in the offensive lineup they have, and that means plenty of points should be expected.
Their meeting last month saw the Eagles win 28-23, meaning this total would have just missed the mark. But this season Philadelphia have scored an average of 27.4 points per game, while conceding an average of 24 points per game. Five of their 12 games this season have surpassed this total.
Dallas on the other hand are averaging 32.3 points scored per game this season, while defensively they are allowing an average of 18.3 points per game. Four of their 12 games this season have surpassed this points total.
With both teams likely to see a weakness in the other after results this season, expect an open game with plenty of points on the board. A repeat of the last game shouldn’t be ruled out either, but the value is in backing the over here.
