With the FIFA World Cup roaring in Qatar, it is an exciting time for soccer fans worldwide. With that in mind, and according to one report, Bovada Poker and Ignition Poker have joined forces to celebrate the World Cup with a series of special poker tournaments. This promotion will kick off on November 17th and continue until December 18th. Per the contest page, when all is said and done, there will have been 130 tournaments and more than $2 million awarded to poker players. Moreover, in addition to the poker promotion, there is also a free slots bonus for every contestant who enters a World Cup poker tournament.

For this report, SBS will be going over that to look at from this latest Bovada update along with other news and notes about using the website.

Bovada and Ignition combine poker rooms for added flair

Per one report, Ignition and Bovada have combined their poker rooms to offer a series of poker tournaments around the World Cup. For instance, as pointed out in the article, while watching the action in Qatar, a player can pull up some poker tournaments and get in on the $2M worth of guaranteed prize pools. With the series starting back in mid-November, there are still several more weeks of action to get in on that go along with several World Cup events each day.

According to one article, the lineup for Sunday, December 4, looks something like this: At 7:22 am, there is an $82 buy-in in World Cup KO Stage NLHE Event w/ $15 knockouts with a $5k GTD. Later on in the day at 11:22 am, the event would have a $27.50 buy-in with a $2k GTD. The report later focuses on other matches that day that would occur at 6:22 pm and also 9:22 pm as well. In this particular example, the max GTD highlighted is $4k which is certainly a hefty sum and a nice prize to wrap up your weekend with. Finally, to wrap it all up on December 18th, there will be two big finales with one having a $109 buy-in ($122k GTD) and the other having a $1,055 buy-in with a $222k.

Bonus slot play prize available for those that participate

As pointed out on the contest page, players who enter any World Cup tournament will receive a bonus of 50 free spins on the Golden Buffalo slot game on Bovada. However, this is only for players who do not finish in the money and it is a one-time bonus. Also, if you are inclined to play some more slot titles, both sites have a Hot Drop Jackpot promotion happening on four particular slots: Golden Buffalo, A Night with Cleo, 777 Deluxe, and Reels of Fortune. Hourly jackpots here are averaging $1K and must drop before the end of each hour, and daily jackpots must drop each day with an average prize of $25K. After that, there is one super jackpot that must be paid before it hits $250K each time.
