A very entertaining film franchise, the latest Hunger Games movie has fans buzzing about who will star in the new adaptation, and Bovada has just released preliminary betting lines on the film. According to the site, Suzanne Collins published the latest installment of her successful franchise, titled “Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,” earlier this year in bookstores everywhere. Fans have been thrilled at the chance to be transported back into the dystopian world that introduced us to the iconic character Katniss Everdeen. This time around, the novel acts as another prequel that highlights a young Haymitch Abernathy’s victory in the Hunger Games Second Quarter Quell, which is infamous for bringing in four tributes from the twelve districts instead of the usual two. Its previous installment was the successful novel and film titled “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” featuring Lucy Gray and a young Coriolanus Snow.

For this article, SBS will be going over the latest gaming updates coming from Bovada, along with some additional notes coming from the website and beyond.

Sunrise film set for late 2026 release date

According to the same report, with the novel freshly out, its major motion film debut has been announced to premiere on November 20, 2026. With such a time crunch on the horizon, diehard fans of the series have been brainstorming who the best possible cast will be for the film. As the same report notes, the ensemble for the franchise so far has been iconic to say the least, making Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Rachel Zegler & Tom Blyth’s work all fantastic along with some other actor portrayals. As details for the film have been kept under wraps, with no trailer released yet, the team at Bovada has compiled a list of potential actors that could potentially join us at the Hunger Games arena this time around.

Potential actors to be cast in the upcoming Hunger Games film, at least according to Bovada, include: Kiefer Sutherland (+325), Ralph Fiennes (+250), Jesse Plemons (+250), and Fernanda Torres (+325).

Known for his role in 2024, Sutherland has also been the topic of the rumor mill, being potentially cast as a young Corilanus Snow for the second prequel. The iconic villain from the original trilogy was actually played by his own father, Donald Sutherland, who sadly passed away late last year. With an odds number of +325, many fans could pinpoint that this casting choice would be obvious, as they are not only related, but with Kiefer being Donald’s son, he would play a younger version of what his father portrayed

Ralph Fiennes is another strong favorite

Per the same article, following a mass award victory run for his role as Cardinal Thomas Lawrence in “Conclave,” Fiennes has a Bovada betting odd of +250 to play the role of a young Snow in the film. In a recent report from Daniel Richtman, who is seen as a reliable media source in the entertainment industry, Fiennes has been offered the role for the film. Although nothing has been confirmed, it could continue the long-standing franchise tradition to have an Oscar-nominated actor to play the villainous role.

Eyed by “Hunger Games” fans, Plemons has odds of +250 to play the younger version of Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensee, who was played by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The actor is a riveting choice to play the role, as many enjoy his roles in titular acts such as “Breaking Bad,” “Kinds of Kindness,” and “Black Mirror.”

Torres is a sleeper choice to appear in the film

Noted on the site, Torres trailblazed through 2024 by becoming the first Brazilian actor to win the Golden Globe Award for “Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama” and becoming the second nominated Brazilian actor at the Oscars for “Best Actress” following her own mother. Subsequently, per Bovada, Torres has an odds mark of +325 to appear in the film. It is perhaps out of the question that the actress is being eyed by producers for their upcoming project after the success of “I’m Still Here,” and fans sparked conversations on seeing her portray a younger Mags Flanagan. This character is the tribute from District Four and is also Haymitch Abernathy’s mentor in the new installment.

With many reports and rumors going around, the spirit of the “Hunger Games” franchise continues to rekindle a passion for the franchise among fans. As the report notes, their depictions on the big screen fill moviegoers with a swirl of adrenaline and emotions. If you are a fan of the film franchise, the article suggests you take a look at the odds on Bovada as we all wait and see who will take part in the fascinating saga next
