Perhaps one of the most popular and grisly television shows since the late 2010s, The Boys returns for its fourth season this month on Amazon Prime after receiving critical acclaim for its prior three installments. Given the timing and getting in on the action like they are known to do, Bovada Sportsbook has rolled out multiple betting markets for this high-powered season of The Boys. Per the main Bovada website, this includes different prop betting markets like the main protagonist Billy Butcher becoming a “supe” at -150 or the villainous Homelander announcing a bid for the presidency and winning at +800. In addition to those markets, the site also has a wide list of who they think will be killed off this season from the different recurring characters that have made it through the battles of the prior three campaigns.

In this article, SBS will be going over the latest news happening over at Bovada along with more notes and information regarding the online outlet along with more helpful notes.

Bovada tabs Billy Butcher to embrace his inner “supe”

Per the main site at Bovada, the line for Billy Butcher becoming a “supe” in season four is positioned at -150. For those unfamiliar with the series, here is a little background. The show centers around the eponymous team of vigilantes (Butcher and his crew aka The Boys) as they combat super-powered individuals who abuse their powers. Think of a militia special forces crew taking on a demented Justice League with various substance abuse problems and psychopathic tendencies. Butcher is a charismatic, albeit violent, leader who despises all supes, while their main rival, the Seven, is led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander. Butcher and Homelander have clashed multiple times in the series, and without giving too much away, have featured showdowns where the former has been able to stand toe to toe with his powerful rival thanks to a little “help”.

Of course, the main conundrum in this show is how a group of normal humans can take on a collective of superheroes with powers ranging from super speed and water powers to laser eyes and nigh-invisibility. The answer is the mysterious super serum “Compound V” introduced in the prior seasons. Butcher has already had a taste of this powerful formula and it could be the key to him finally besting Homelander for good in season four. Of course, there are also drawbacks to this battle with the effects of the serum damaging both physically and mentally to its host. However, the series has featured a lot of desperate times and moments, so this could perhaps be the time when Butcher has to gamble again even with the risks associated

Homelander presidential run hinted at for season four

Also noted on the main Bovada site, the prop betting market of “Homelander to run for president and win” is +800. Of course, for those following the show, this would be a climactic turn of events as the twisted “Superman” of the show would of course bring a ton of chaos to the picture if he were to be elected as the leader of the free world. As depicted in the series, Homelander is the leader of the Seven, but beneath his public image as a noble hero, he is an egotistical, megalomaniacal character who cares little about the well-being of those he professes to protect. Of course, there have been adaptations and online rumors professing this to be a scenario where this occurs and it would truly be an awe-inspiring plot development.

Bovada sharing odds for who will be killed off this season

As noted above and on the main site at Bovada, there are also betting markets related to who will die in season four of The Boys. This includes Queen Maeve as the leading favorite at +150, followed by Butcher at +225, Soldier Boy at +225, Vic Neuman (+250), and A-Train (+275). Of course, all of these scenarios would present some wild new updates to the series

For instance, Queen Maeve has served as a strong opponent to Homelander after she broke off from the Seven due to his villainous and psychopathic ways. That said, the odds would not be in Maeve’s favor if the two were to duel one-on-one. The other options are also interesting but not likely for some. Butcher being this high on the list does not make a lot of sense given his standing as the main protagonist of the series. That said, we have said major protagonists killed off before in a huge television series (hello, Game of Thrones). However, the other options do have some merit to them like Vic Neuman, with her head-popping psychic powers, being caught off-guard as she makes her presidential run.
