The 2023 Emmys are almost here and BetUS recently rolled out some betting markets related to the best in primetime television. Per one outlet and BetUS, Succession (-1000) is an overwhelming favorite to win Outstanding Drama Series, and other series like Ted Lasso and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story could win big as well. While the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards have yet to set a start date, the nominees are still known and BetUS has the betting markets on them. These odds are now live at the site and there are a handful of betting favorites that stick as some of the best in the bunch. With everything from series awards to individual accolades, BetUS has the skinny on each of these outstanding categories.

For this article, SBS will be going over what to look for from the latest betting news coming from BetUS along with even more notes and information about using the site.

Succession leading the way in Outstanding Drama Series

According to BetUS and also one other outlet, HBO’s Succession is the leading favorite to take home the gold in the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy category. As noted above, Succession is currently at -1000 odds to win it all, followed by the White Lotus at +500, and Better Call Saul (+1300). As noted in one report, Succession is the heaviest favorite for any category at this year’s Emmy Awards. However, while Succession is a big favorite here (it has an implied 90.91% chance of winning), some site pundits have backed off because of the nominal winning value here.

In terms of the Outstanding Limited Series Emmy Award, Beef is the current favorite to win it all. The Netflix series has gotten a lot of positive reviews and is listed at -220 which equates to about a 70% chance of winning per one outlet. Moreover, BetUS has highlighted all kinds of other categories at the Emmy Awards related to the hit show. For instance, Ali Wong (-300) is the current favorite to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series. Conversely, while Steven Yeun is not the favorite for the Lead Actor award, he still has a decent chance to win at +175.

As noted on the BetUS site, Ted Lasso is the current favorite at -175 for winning top honors for Outstanding Comedy Series. Another interesting choice here is The Bear (+100) which has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and, as one outlet notes, is a fantastic watch. Other shows with an outside chance of winning here include Abbott Elementary, the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and more. As one site notes, Ted Lasso might be the best pick here as the show has won the exact same award for the last two years. Consecutive winners seem to be a solid trend in this category as Veep won three years in a row (2015 to 2017), Modern Family won five consecutive years (2010 to 2014), and 30 Rock won three times before that as well (2007 to 2009).
