Staying on the defensive side of the football, some analysts believe Travis Hunter (+240) is the best prospect in the draft, and his hybrid style of play makes him highly sought after by many teams. The Heisman Trophy winner is likely to go number two overall if he’s not selected first overall. However, the Titans probably would not pass on a quarterback or defensive end to take Hunter. Could the Titans trade down to draft a quarterback if they believe another team is desperate to make Hunter the top pick? It’s possible but highly unlikely.
Following the top four players, Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart (+4000) is the next player on the list here and is the quarterback for the Rebels. Following a stellar season, Dart is a fantastic player who could make some waves in the NFL. Another player to keep an eye on is Mykel Williams (+7500) who is a superb athlete for the Georgia Bulldogs as a defensive end. Additionally, Will Campbell (+7500) is an offensive tackle force for the Tigers and a great candidate to move up draft boards. That said, the top of the draft board is pretty loaded with players who will make it hard for Campbell to move into place for this position along with the other contenders noted here.
Of course, were it the author’s choice in this case, Ward seems to be the likely contender to go first overall. In a league that is obviously a quarterback-centric one, the Titans would like to select their quarterback of the future here.
