Bowl season is here, and BetOnline has an excellent promotion that any college football fan would love to check out. Per the main site, the $25,000 College Football Playoff Bracket Contest is a free contest that runs from Friday, December 19th, 2025, until Monday, January 19th, 2025. Registration opens on Monday, December 8th, 2025, and closes on Friday, December 19th at 8:00 pm ET. Noted on the report, participants must pick the winner of all 11 games in the 2025-26 College Football Playoff, beginning with the First Round, which kicks off on Friday, December 19th, 2025. Points will be awarded for each correct pick. Additionally, once you submit your bracket, you can change your picks at any time until the submission deadline at 8:00 pm ET on Friday, December 19th, 2025.

For this report, SBS will be going over the latest gaming news coming from BetOnline, along with an excellent array of news and resources you can find only at SBS.

Registration is simple for this BetOnline contest

Noted on the same rundown, to register for the contest, customers must be logged into their account and make their picks for each College Football Playoff game from the First Round to the National Championship. The contest is free to enter; however, to qualify for the prizes, participants must wager a minimum $50 in the Sportsbook Casino, and/or Racebook between 12:00 am ET on Friday, December 19th, 2025, and 11:59 pm ET on Monday, January 19th, 2026.

Registration, the report notes, for the free $25,000 NCAA Football Playoff Bracket is only available online. Customers cannot register via phone, chat, or email. Only fully completed brackets qualify for the contest prizes, and only one entry per account is permitted. Additionally, placing entries from multiple BetOnline accounts is prohibited and will result in disqualification. BetOnline has the right to change, amend, and/or cancel this promotion at any time without notice.

Point system and registration follow simple format

As noted in the article, the College Football Playoff must be completed for the contest to be deemed final and prizes to be awarded. If the College Football Playoff is canceled at any point, no prizes will be awarded. For this contest, the point system is straightforward as contestants will receive one point for every correct selection in the First Found. They will then receive two points for every correct pick in the Quarterfinals, then four points for every correct selection in the Semifinals. Finally, eight points will be given out for every correct selection in the National Championship

Moreover, the top 1,500 contestants will win a piece of the $25,000 prize pool with the following payout schedule. First place in this contest nets the winner a cool $1,250, while second place is good for $500, and third place rolls in $250. After that, contestants can make some money all the way until 1500th place, where they would still receive $10

Contest features a handful of other rules and notes

Also covered in the article, in the event that the tie-breaker is necessary, participants will be ranked based on having the closest answer to the Total Points Scored in the National Championship game. If various participants tie, the tie-breaker question will be used to determine the final standings of the contests. Additionally, if participants remain in a tie after the tie-breaker, the winnings will be split along with the next lowest prize, the report notes.

Example: If two contestants tie for first with 26 points, they will split the first and second place prizes. Additionally, the participant with the next highest point total will win the third-place prize. Winnings will then be paid into each player’s account as cash with no rollover requirement. Winners will also receive their prize by 6:00 pm ET on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026

Of course, with bowl season here, there is a lot of crazy action going on as fans everywhere prepare for the CFP. This year, Indiana has been the darling team led by Heisman quarterback Fernando Mendoza. A powerful squad, the Hoosiers, usually a doormat of the Big Ten Conference, rolled through the year behind head coach Curt Cignetti. While they had a season for the ages, they still need to have a fantastic playoff run if they want to get past the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, and Oregon. Also, who knows if there might be an upset in the bracket as well, and if a team like James Madison can make a miracle run.
