Team captain Napheesa Collier led the way for the squad, earning All-WNBA First Team honors along with being named the All-Star Game MVP.
Meanwhile, head coach Cheryl Reeve was named the WNBA All-Star Head Coach, and Alanna Smith was tabbed as the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, players like Courtney Williams and Kalya McBride were tabbed as WNBA All-Star Game reserve players.
Perhaps the most exciting team in the league, at least with its star player Cailtin Clark, the Fever are aiming for a rebound campaign in 2026. In 2024, the Fever finished in sixth place in the conference, making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Headlined by Clark, the Fever set a WNBA record for highest resale ticket prices for a person game with an average ticket price of $440 (before fees). Additionally, despite having five players with season-ending injuries, including Clark, the Fever clinched a playoff spot in the postseason for the second consecutive season on September 7th.
Regarded as one of the greatest female collegiate players of all time, Clark was twice named national female college basketball player of the year while playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes. She remains the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer and has helped popularize women’s basketball, a phenomenon dubbed, the “Caitlin Clark effect.” Since then, Clark was selected first overall by Indiana during the 2024 WNBA Draft. In her first season, she won the Rookie of the Year award and made the All-WNBA First Team. Moreover, she set the single season and single game records in assists, broke the rookie scoring record, and became the first rookie to achieve a triple double.
