Another MLB season is upon us and BetNow has decided to get in on the action once again with its awesome Grand Slam Weekly Contest. Per the main site over at BetNow, the outlet will be giving away $25,000 per week until the end of the MLB regular season. The rules are simple here as all you have to do each week is select the straight-up winners from the 28 MLB games with the tiebreaker. As noted on the website, this promotion will start with the beginning of the MLB season and only allows one entry per household. Moreover, the contestant that picks the perfect; meaning that all picks for that week won with the exact tiebreaker total – will win $25,000.

For this report, SBS will be going over what to look for from the latest gaming news coming from the world of BetNow along with even more notes and info about the site.

BetNow’s Grand Slam Contest has been a fixture there

Also referenced on the official rules page on the site, if more than one person wins the grand prize of $25,000, the prize will be equally split among the winners. Consolation prizes will be given out weekly to the top five scoring clients. In case of a tie, the prize will be equally split among the winners. Also, the monetary amount for consolation prizes is based on the amount of entries. All house MLB rules will apply to full games and canceled games are given no points and are counted as a loss

For regular readers of this space, you will notice that many of these rules have been utilized in the past for other Weekly Grand Slam Contests. As noted on the main rules page, the tiebreaker will be the grand salami for the given week. The tie-breaker (grand salami) is the total number of runs scored during the entire week. The customer simply needs to pick the straight-up winner against the line. Finally, there is no rollover attached to this promotion. Of course, you must be an active client of BetNow and as an active client you can enter this promotion free of charge.

The Dodgers and Pirates leading the way in the NL

As of this article’s writing, two squads have jumped out ahead of the pack in the National League: the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. The former has been a mainstay at the top of the Senior Circuit for years now and of course, features international sensation Shohei Ohtani at the front of their stacked lineup. In addition to the Japanese phenom, Los Angeles also has the benefit of a fantastic infield spearheaded by shortstop Mookie Betts and first baseman Freddie Freeman. However, Ohtani is the key new fixture for the Dodgers after signing a historic deal this off-season. If he can stay out of the spotlight in regards to a new gambling scandal, then he certainly can be a significant reason why Los Angeles makes another World Series charge this year.

In an interesting turn of events, the Pirates have charged out of the game strongly as well and now sit atop the NL Central, or at least close to it. The Bucs feature a strong lineup as well with the likes of center fielder Michael A. Taylor and shortstop Oneil Cruz leading the way for the team. Starting pitcher Martin Perez has been fantastic to kick off the season as well and the pitching corps of the Pirates could make dividends earlier in the year.

The Yankees and Tigers are the early contenders in AL

Speaking of title mainstays, the Yankees have sprung out to a hot start to kick off the year and are also atop the early AL East standings. With a lineup usually stacked with stellar stars, the Bronx Bombers have an awesome outfield with Juan Soto and Aaron Judge leading the way. Of course, those two are some of the best hitters in the game and are excellent centerpieces for any organization to have. New York has always been known as a place with massive star power, but it remains to be seen how all the pieces will gel together.

Conversely, Detroit has jumped to the top of their division with some great early victories and has a frisky squad that has been befuddling opponents early on. Manager A.J. Hinch has some solid veterans on the team like second baseman Javier Baez who can help the team win along with other pieces like left fielder Mark Canha and catcher Carson Kelly sitting behind the plate.
