Recognized as the most prestigious individual award in college football, the Heisman Trophy will perhaps find a new home after this season. Of course, that being if someone can unseat phenomenal USC quarterback Caleb Williams from the throne after he won the 2022 Heisman. With that in mind, BetNow has gotten in on the fun with some updated Heisman odds along with a variety of different college football betting lines for the 2023-24 season. The USC star is still the frontrunner at +400 on the year now after three dominant wins to kick off the season, accounting for 13 total scores and no interceptions. Behind him are a variety of players, mostly quarterbacks, looking to capture the Heisman crown.

In this article, SBS will be going over what to look for from the latest gaming news from BetNow and also some more notes about the site.

BetNow features quarterbacks at the top of its rankings

As noted above and per the main BetNow website, Williams is the strong favorite at +400 to repeat as Heisman Trophy winner. Piloting the Trojans to a 3-0 start, the native of Washington D.C. has been superb in action this year, throwing for 878 yards, 12 passing scores, and no picks. However, there has not been a lot of precedent in Heisman winners repeating as the last person to do so was Ohio State’s Archie Griffin who won the award twice in the 1970’s. Williams though will have plenty of showcase games this year as the Pac-12 is loaded in football with multiple ranked teams in the conference’s swan song season.

Beyond him is Florida State’s Jordan Travis (+500) who has also been superb in the Seminoles’ resurgent year as a top-three team in the country. In Florida State’s season-opening win over LSU, Travis accounted for five scores over the then-top-five ranked Tigers. With 342 passing yards, the quarterback was able to trounce LSU, 45-24. Moreover, he will also have plenty of opportunities to showcase his skills this year as the Seminoles look to win the ACC and reach the College Football Playoff.

Texas’ Ewers a dark horse contender from BetNow

Another notable signal-caller registers as a favorite on BetNow with Texas’ Quinn Ewers (+800) as another potential Heisman contender. The sophomore from Southlake, Texas has been strong this year, especially in the Longhorns’ takedown of Alabama this past weekend in Tuscaloosa, 34-24. Moreover, what is interesting is that the BetNow odds feature not one, but two Texas quarterbacks as Ewers’ famous teammate, Arch Manning, is a longshot at +15000 to win the Heisman.

Some other notable contenders on BetNow’s betting markets are two standouts from Colorado in defensive back/wide receiver Travis Hunter (+2500) and also quarterback Shedeur Sanders (+1400). A final player to keep an eye on is Michael Penix Jr. (+1000) from Washington who has the Huskies rolling to start the 2023 football campaign.
