UFC Men’s Middleweight Championship overview: Israel Adesanya (c) vs. Sean Strickland

Fighter Spotlight: Israel Adesanya

The current two-time UFC Middleweight Champion, Adesanya is one of the most talented fighters in all of the UFC. In terms of UFC 293 bets, the “Stylebender” is one of the strongest ones to wager as he has amassed a career record of 24-2. Coming off a KO win over Alex Pereira at UFC 287, the 34-year-old was able to win back the Middleweight Championship in a Performance of the Night victory. Known for his sensational kickboxing and Muay Thai style, Adesanya has won 16 of his professional fights by way of knockout. Moreover, after avenging his loss to Pereira, the champion has also never lost to another fighter in the UFC Middleweight division.

Fighter Spotlight: Sean Strickland

Another accomplished fighter, Stickland himself is coming off a Performance of the Night outing in a TKO win over Abusupiyan Magomedov in July of this year. Prior to that, he was able to knock off Nassourdine Imavov in a light heavyweight bout which ended in a unanimous decision win for Strickland. Indeed with a career mark of 27-5, with 11 knockout wins, the Californian is a solid fighter in the UFC middleweight ranks. Currently recognized as a top-five competitor in the weight class, the 32-year-old aka “Tarzan” will have his hands full with Adesanya, but he has faced championship foes before. In the past he has squared off with the likes of Alex Pereira and Kamaru Usman, albeit both in losing efforts.

Prediction: This bout should be a steady win for Adesanya as he looks to defend his crown and battle past Strickland.

UFC Men’s Heavyweight Contest breakdown: Tai Tuivasa vs. Alexander Volkov

Fighter Spotlight: Tai Tuivasa

A UFC heavyweight class mainstay, Tuivasa makes his return home in his bout at UFC 293. While he is coming off back-to-back losses against the likes of Segei Pavlovich (first-round KO) and Ciryl Gane (third-round KO), he still has the raw power to stop most in the promotion. A fighter that has won 13 of 14 career victories by way of knockout, the Australian is certainly one to not underestimate. He will look to get things back on track in Sydney and string together another streak of wins.

Fighter Spotlight: Alexander Volkov

Volkov is another tenured fighter and has a remarkable 36 wins in his pro-MMA career. With a career spanning back to 2009, the Russian fighter has won multiple titles in promotions from Bellator to M-1 Global. He made his UFC debut back in 2016 and has knocked off the likes of Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum, both Performance of the Night outings. Volkov is fresh off back-to-back first-round TKO wins and will be looking for the same in this slugfest against Tuivasa.

Prediction: This battle will be a blistering one as both fighters feature sensational knockout potential. Given the home-field advantage though, take Tuivasa to walk away from this fight as the victor
