Vietbet has its origins in Vietnam. However, we recommend checking out its sister site 5Dimes, which is a much better version.
Vietbet only accepts Bitcoin deposits, which can be a hassle. In general, we like to make our own choices, so this is a bad sign from the start. But, given the fact crypto has become one of the main payment methods in the gambling world, it’s becoming increasingly popular.
Pros & Cons
Betting menu covers most sports throughout the world
Casino is stock-piled with various games
US players can only deposit with Bitcoin
Small welcome bonus match
Getting started on Vietbet takes just minutes. First, you’ll be prompted to enter your account details such as name, address, email, and password. Be sure to use a valid email because you’ll have to verify the account in step two. Once verified, you’ll receive a unique account number from Vietbet. And that’s it, you’re done — use that account number to log-in from there on out!

On the surface, Vietbet’s sign-up bonus of $3000 is attention-grabbing. Then you read the fine print and it becomes less impressive. Vietbet only matches 20 percent of a player’s first deposit, meaning you’ll need to add $15000 just to earn that max bonus — which isn't a bargain at all. The rollover rate is a more modest 5X, but that doesn’t make up for the 20-percent match, which is below industry standards for a welcome bonus.
To our surprise, Bitcoin was the only banking option at Vietbet. That means no credit or debit card, e-wallet, bank wire, not even other crypto options aside from Bitcoin. This complete lack of options could be a difference-maker for a lot of players, especially those that are still hesitant to invest in Bitcoin. Vietbet needs to do better in this department to keep pace in this competitive industry.
Cashout options at VietBet aren’t nearly as limited as its deposit methods, but they could still be better. Once again, Bitcoin is accepted as a banking method. New options include bank transfer and mailed check. Neither comes cheap, however, as you’ll automatically be docked $80 on every single transaction.
Placing a Bet
Upon logging in to your Vietbet account, you’ll automatically be directed to the platform’s “bet the board.” The board is broken up by sport and then leagues within that sport. Check the box of sport/league lines you’re interested in seeing then tap “continue” to pull up the odds. From here, you can enter how much you want to risk on any line.
If we’re being honest, the Vietbet user interface looks ten-years-too outdated. The design is as bare-bones as it gets, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to.

Under the Vietbet sportsbook, there’s a section labeled “other sports.” Here, you’ll find odds for a mish-mash of events like competitive eating, stock market, politics, among others. The available lines in politics are predominately based on the US Election. Of course, that includes the classic “which candidate will win” wager, but you can also get a lot of mileage out of the props such as who will win which electoral college state and such.
The most-bet on video game leagues — think Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends — are available for gambling at Vietbet. You’ll have less luck finding less mainstream eSport leagues. Still, this selection should suffice for most casual eSport bettors. Due to the global nature of eSports, wagering lines are available at seemingly all hours of the day.
Virtual Sports Betting
In a bit of a surprise, Vietbet actually doesn’t offer any virtual sports betting. While popular in Europe, sports simulation wagering hasn’t quite caught fire with North American audiences yet. If it is your cup of tea, this lack of support could be a deal-breaker for you.
Vietbet caters strongly to Asia-based bettors. Thus it comes as no surprise that the NBA has a strong presence on the platform. After all, the league is quickly becoming a power play in many countries throughout the continent.
WTA and ATP dot the entire map with its tournaments during the season. Just about all of them can be gambled on at Vietbet. Of course, that includes the prized Grand Slam events such as the US Open or Wimbledon.
Underneath the football menu, you’ll find lines for NFL, NFL props, college, college props, and futures — the full-breadth of bets to satisfy most football fanatics. In terms of prices, Vietbet is neither better nor worse than what other competitors offer. NFL odds are mostly on par with the industry.
In terms of sheer volume of bets available during a given season, no American sport league beats out the MLB. Between run lines, run totals, and props, there’s hundreds of betting opportunities available almost daily during the 162-game regular season. That entire catalogue can easily be found on Vietbet, which supports the league heavy.
More Betting Options
Not to be overlooked is Vietbet’s soccer selection. It really covers the full scope of pro soccer, no matter what country a league is in. Of course, the main federations in England and Spain are represented, but you’ll also find betting for odd-ball leagues in Ukraine or Estonia, just to name a few.
Get this, Vietbet has five SEPARATE casino offerings. Why five and not just bundle them all under one roof? We can’t tell you, but across all five you’ll get practically the same game types — just different software powering them. The amount of games to play goes well into the hundreds and that includes all the staples such as slots, tables games, video poker, and more.
Pregame and halftime lines still make up the bulk of Vietbet’s betting menu. However, in-play wagers are becoming more and more frequent. To access them, head over to the “Live Betting Extra” under the sportsbook menu. Any games with real-time odds will be listed here. There’s also a calendar that’ll break down which upcoming games will have live betting capability — a great feature for planning ahead.
Just about all wagers on Vietbet are available for parlaying, aside from futures and in-play (which is industry standard). All it takes is to add multiple betting lines to your ticket. Add one lump sum to risk on all events at the end to confirm your wager and that’s it. Now you play the waiting (and praying) game!
Additional Betting Help
Unfortunately, extra resources are lacking on Vietbet. If you’re not already familiar with online wagering and all of its vocabulary, you’ll need to learn it elsewhere because Vietbet isn’t providing answers. The same goes for more experienced bettors that are doing research for their next bet. There’s no blog to speak of at Vietbet.
Vietbet’s racebook carries betting odds for the top tracks throughout the world. But better yet, it also offers a daily rebate program. The program applies to daily bet volume — not only losses. Depending on the track, the rebate ranges from four to nine percent. There’s also zero minimum or maximum betting limits to earn the rebate.

If you’re stuck and need assistance, the customer care team at Vietbet can be reached either through telephone (1-888-988-9861), email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or the live chat. Help is available in three languages, too — English, Mandarin Chinese, and Vietnamese.
The final question during VietBet’s sign-up process is “I would like to receive information about VietBet's offers and promotions.” You can either checkmark it, effectively opting into email communication, or don’t and keep VietBet out of your inbox. Ultimately, the choice is yours. And of course, you can always change your mind later on and update email settings.
Unfortunately, Vietbet doesn’t live stream games it has odds available for. That feature is in high demand among bettors that want to follow the action live, but the supply from online sportsbooks is still low industry-wide. For now, live TV is still your best bet to watch games you have action on.
Vietbet is legal to use in a good amount of countries. However, if you find yourself inside one that is restricted, you’re not completely out of luck. You could always opt for a virtual private network (VPN). These services will not only hide your IP address, but actually make it appear like it’s coming from elsewhere.
Some betting sites take measures against VPN use. Vietbet is not one of them. We accessed its site through the popular HMA VPN and saw no drawbacks. The site functioned per usual and there wasn’t so much as lag experienced either. HMA has 300 different locations where users can set their IP address to and that versatility works great for browsing not only Vietbet, but any other site.
VietBet isn’t a “bad” bookie per se, but calling it “good” would be a stretch, as well. Bettors thinking of joining VietBet need to know there’s just better options out there. VietBet is held back by features such as:
