Betcoin Sportsbook Review

Your opinion on cryptocurrency will largely determine what you think of Betcoin. If you’re already on the crypto bandwagon (or planning to jump on soon), Betcoin will appeal to you cause it’s the only payment method accepted on the platform. But if you’re not high on crypto, there’s no reason to even consider joining Betcoin.

Why I Like Betcoin

Crypto-only bookmakers are usually stingy with their bonuses — but not Betcoin. Its casino match bonus is one of the best in the whole marketplace.

Account creation

Slightly Unorthodox Sign-Up, But Still Easy

Betcoin takes a different approach when registering accounts. At first, the only information Betcoin will ask of you is a username and email. Afterward, they’ll send a message to said email account — make sure to register with a real one you have access to — with a verification link. Click on the link and you’ll be redirected to a page where you can set up your password and fill in other account details. Despite the unique approach, sign-up is still painless and took only a few minutes.

Welcome Bonuses

No Sportsbook Bonus, Only Casino

Most betting sites match a new player's first-time deposit into the platform. Betcoin? They’ll match the first three! Get this, the first deposit is matched at 100 percent up to 1 BTC (1,000 credits). The next deposit is matched at 50 percent and finally third is at 25 percent. However, this only applies to the casino. No welcome bonuses currently exist for the sportsbook.

Deposits

Cryptocurrency Or The Highway

As the “coin” its Betcoin moniker implies, this betting site is serious about Bitcoin and other cryptos. Matter of fact, it’s the only way to fund your playing account. Betcoin does not accept traditional methods like bank wire, credit cards, or e-Wallets.

Bitcoin: One Of Nine Cryptos Accepted

While Bitcoin is the most-popular cryptocurrency for depositing, it’s far from the only one. Betcoin also accepts Bitcoin Cash or SV, Dash, Etherum (Classic too), Litecoin, Monero, and Ripple. Between all of them, that’s eight different ways to fund your Betcoin account.

Withdraw Winnings

Loose Limits

High-roller players will love that there’s no cap on withdrawing funds at Betcoin. You can cash out as much coin as you’d like. The only limit is the minimum, which is a very doable 0.0005 BTC. All withdrawals have to get approved by Betcoin, however, which can take as much as 24 hours (though, this is the worst-case scenario and is usually quicker).

Bitcoin Withdrawals: Same Cryptos Accepted Both Ways

What we said about depositing with cryptocurrency also applies to withdrawals. The very same methods can be used to transfer money out of your account as transferring in.

Placing a Bet

So Many Props

For all the bets available on the Betcoin sportsbook, finding the one you want is painless. That’s because Betcoin’s user interface is pretty intuitive. All wagers are organized by sport, then by league, and finally by game. The latter is where you’ll really see Betcoin’s variety. On any given game, Betcoin will have dozens of props available on top of the usual spreads and over/unders you’d come to expect.

Once you have a line you like, just click on it to add it to your betting slip. You can also enter the total stake on said slip. After that, press the yellow “pay in” button to finalize the wager.

Politics Betting

Not Betcoin’s forte

Unfortunately, politics betting is completely absent from Betcoin’s sportsbook. Wagering on US politics, particularly the US Presidential election, is a growing trend in the marketplace, but Betcoin isn’t biting on it.

eSports

Good, Not Great Selection

When it comes to eSports wagering, Betcoin mostly sticks to the top leagues and only those leagues. Top leagues means you’ll find Counter-Strike, DOTA, League of Legends, Overwatch, among others. But if you’re on the prowl for less mainstream video game titles, Betcoin probably isn’t your best bet.

Virtual Sports Betting

A Growing Segment

Betcoin has a solid support for virtual games, but it’s sometimes easy to miss. That’s because simulated sports aren’t listed under the sport section of the sportsbook like most competitors do. When in the sportsbook, you’ll see a “virtual sports” tab next to pregame and live. Hit that to bring up nine different virtual games. The games are mostly racing-based with cars, horses, greyhounds, and more.

NBA

Game Within The Game

NBA is practically a year-round sport now due in large part to a free agency and draft process that’s equally entertaining as the actual game itself. This full gamut of bets is all there for the taking on Betcoin.

US Open

The Majors Plus More

It’s a given to find the full litany of betting odds at Betcoin for major tournaments like the US Open, Wimbledon, Australian Open, and French Open. However, Betcoin outdoes itself by offering similar support for non-Grand Slam events carried by the WTA, ATP, and other international leagues.

NFL

King of Betting

Betcoin definitely caters to the American sports fan, thus it should come as no surprise that its NFL catalog is quite immense. You’ll get everything that you need during a long season — odds for pregame, in-play, over/unders, props, teasers, futures, and everything in between. Not to be outdone, Betcoin’s NCAA football coverage is almost on par, too.

MLB

The Glorious Pastime

While MLB’s mainstream popularity appears to be fading, it’s betting popularity has never been higher thanks to in-game props and live betting. That, coupled with the longest season in American sports, makes MLB the land of opportunity for gamblers. At Betcoin, you’ll find a slew of betting chances daily between April and October.

More Betting Options

Soccer From Continent To Continent

We’d be remiss not to mention Betcoin’s impressive soccer selection. When we say it’s truly international, we mean it. Of course, you’ll find the top European soccer leagues on the menu, but you’ll also come across less-followed federations in South Korea or Costa Rica, just as an example.

Casino

Endless Amount Of Games

To say the Betcoin casino is jam-packed with games might be an understatement. Our estimate is there’s close to 900 different games from a slew of software providers on the platform — that’ll keep you busy for years. That game lineup is dominated by slots (progressive, 3D, three- or five-reel), but there’s still a good mix of live dealer, table games, and video poker, too. Betcoin’s variety in this department is among the best in the industry.

Live Betting

Ramp Up The Betting Experience

When in the sportsbook, you can toggle back and forth between pregame and in-play odds in the top menu. The interface and betting experience is near identical between both, except for the obvious fact that in-play lines will change in real time. The speed in which Betcoin refreshes its live odds impressed us — so be sure to confirm those bets before the line inevitably changes on you!

Parlay Betting

Risk It To Win More

No need to rehash what we said about placing a bet. If you want to create a parlay, you’ll go through the same exact process of adding odds to your betting ticket. Once you have at least two lines, you effectively have a parlay. Betcoin doesn’t have functionality for splitting money in a parlay (e.g. the first leg is worth $50, but the second is only for $20). Instead, it’s an all-or-nothing risk amount.

Additional Betting Help

The blog & other betting resources

Betcoin has a “community” section, which serves as its de-facto blog. It can easily be found in the website footer, under the “more info” section there’s a community link. Betcoin does a good job at keeping this content fresh as there’s something new nearly every day. Here you’ll find pertinent website updates, along with betting analysis of upcoming events.

Meet The VIP Players Club

All players at Betcoin are VIPs — but some are more than others. New sign-ups are automatically enrolled in Betcoin’s loyalty program that has seven tiers. Points can be accumulated with playthrough across the Betcoin network that includes the sportsbook, casino, and poker. Each tier has its own reward system that revolves around cashback AND betback.

Customer Service

Three Routes To Take

Submit a support ticket, send an email (to contact@betcoin.ag), or open up the live chat — all three ways can be used to fix an issue or ask a question. Head to Betcoin’s support page to select any of the three options or read through its FAQ section. Our preference is typically live chat due to how much quicker it is than the other two routes. However, more complex issues, one that may require a screenshot image, is better suited for email or the ticketing system.

Emails

Messages Are Far And Few Inbetween

Since email is a requirement when signing up, Betcoin will have the ability to send you communication about site news and promos. However, those emails are infrequent, at least in our experience. Betcoin bucks the industry-wide trend of over communicating with customers, which we don’t mind and keeps our inbox less cluttered.

Live Streaming

Nothing To Watch Here

Unfortunately, Betcoin doesn’t offer any live streaming functionality. We’d knock them, but this feature is a rarity across most of the industry so it comes as little surprise.

VPN

Will Need It If Playing From US

Betcoin bans players within the United States, the UK, Australia, and a number of other countries from registering an account with the platform. If you fall under that umbrella, there is an easy-to-do workaround that will grant you access to Betcoin. It’s simple: just sign up while using a virtual private network (VPN). The way VPNs work is they’ll mask your IP address, making it appear you’re accessing the site from another country (where it is legal ideally).

HideMyAss: Works To Perfection

Originally, Betcoin wasn’t accessible from our home country. But with a little help from HMA, we bypassed those restrictions and used the platform without issues. The great thing about HMA is it has 300 different locations where a user can set their IP address to. Once we disguised our address, Betcoin’s site functioned normally and without lag whatsoever.

Conclusion

Crypto Plus More

No need to harp more on Betcoin’s commitment to cryptocurrency. We’ve driven that point to death, but let’s not overlook Betcoin’s other strong features:
