For most horse players, Saturday December 1 will have two areas of focus: Aqueduct's pair of graded stakes races (the Cigar Mile and Remsen Stakes), and the slew of Claiming Crown races at Gulfstream.
Graded stakes racing in December is a good thing, and making money on those races is even better. Saturday, Dec.1 will provide an opportunity to enjoy both at Aqueduct, with the Cigar Mile serving as the featured race on the card.

No time for post Thanksgiving hangovers in horse racing. Not with so much stakes racing. This week we will keep our focus where it should be: the Grade 1 Clark (Churchill Downs 11/23), the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club (Churchill 11/24) and the Grade 2 Hollywood Turf Cup (Del Mar 11/23). No frills, no BS. Just bottom line picks based on merit and value.
As a Louisville resident and horse racing fanatic, there is nothing like cold Novembers at Churchill Downs right around the Thanksgiving Holiday. The next two weeks, I'll focus on my home track and detail the plays of choice under the twin spires. Get ready to profit.

The 2018 World Series is here and it's a veritable clash of the titans from just about every angle. There's the east coast versus west coast appeal.. There's two big-market teams with massive payrolls and star-studded rosters. But more than anything, the Red Sox/Dodgers series (Game 1 set for Oct.23 @ 8:09 in Boston) is a meeting of two really good baseball teams.
For many, the beginning of October can only mean that the NHL season is near. Oct. 3 signifies the start of the league's 102nd year of existence as 31 teams embark on an 82-game regular season that will conclude April 6. For bettors everywhere, the real question is how these next six months will play out. Here's a look at teams I like in the division, conference and Stanley Cup race.
The 2018 Major League Baseball Playoffs began in earnest Oct.2 with a thrilling Wild Card elimination game between the Cubs and Rockies. The game was epic, the atmosphere electric, and it was just a microcosm of what's in store over the next few weeks. Nothing beats playoff baseball atmosphere or excitement - and this is particularly true when you've got a few dollars riding on the action. Let's dig into the beast that is Playoff Baseball 2018 and uncover some winners!
Love him or hate him, the world is drawn to Connor McGregor. After nearly two years away from the octagon, the bad boy MMA star is back in action Sat, Oct 6 against lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas. Perhaps surprisingly to some, it is McGregor who finds himself in the underdog role in this clash. I'll try to ignore the hype and focus on the fight's specifics to determine which pugilist gets my money.
