As pro football season roars into gear, XBet is here with its fantastic annual $5K Survivor Contest that has new updates for 2025 that has been shared on its website. Per the site, the XBet $5K Survivor Contest begins Week 1 (Thursday, September 4, 2025) of the 2025 NFL regular season. Each week, contestants must select one team to win their game outright and point spreads are irrelevant. If the selected team wins, the entry remains alive and the contestant selects a team for the following week and if the selected team loses or ties, the contestant entry is eliminated. Additionally, the report notes, once a team is selected for a week, that team is not available for selection for the remainder of the contest.

In this report, SBS will be going over the latest gaming news coming from XBet, along with some additional notes and info coming from the website and beyond.

Contestant with the longest winning streak is champion

Also covered on the report, and veteran patrons will know this, once a team is selected for a week, that team is not available for selection for the remainder of the contest. The contestant(s) that selects winning teams the longest, without selecting a losing team, is the $5K Survivor Contest winner. Additionally, the contest ends on Week 18 of the 2025 NFL season, or when only one contestant is remaining; whichever comes first. For example, if four contestants remain in Week 14 and three contestants select losing teams, the remaining contestant is declared the winner. If the contest ends with no survivors, the contestants with live entries heading into the final week of the contest will split the $5,000 prize. I.e. If two contestants remain in Week 14 and both select losing teams, those contestants will split the prize pool.

Per the same article, if multiple contestants remain alive after Week 18, they will split the $5,000 evenly. If a game is canceled or postponed for any reason and the game is not played the following Wednesday, both teams scheduled to play in that game will be graded as losers. Additionally, if you selected either of those teams you will be eliminated from the contest; however, your buy-in will be refunded. Finally, XBet reserves the right to modify this contest at any time.

Registration rules are very straightforward for this contest

To register, all contestants must have a valid XBet account and the entry fee for the XBet Survivor Contest is $10. You may purchase as many as 20 entries and funds will be deducted directly from your XBet account. Free entries are included in the total number of entries you may have and if you qualify to receive a Free Entry, you can still purchase additional entries so long as you do not exceed the maximum of 20 entries per player. Also, as most are aware, all purchases are final, there are no refunds and customers need to make sure they double-check their purchase before they confirm the transaction.

Also covered at the site, entries can only be purchased with real cash funds, which are immediately deducted from the contestant’s account balance at the time of purchase and bonus funds of any kind, including Bonus Bets, cannot be used to purchase entries. Additionally, customers need to make sure to review the number of entries selected before submitting their purchase and the contest closes Monday, September 8, 2025 at 8:15 PM ET. Once you have correctly entered your Username and Password, you will be prompted to create a contest nickname; unless you already have one.

Contestants will be ranked by picks using contest aliases

Per the same article, customers will be identified by their contest nickname in the Survivor Contest and other contests, not by their Username. If they purchase multiple entries, they will have the same nickname for each. However, next to their nickname will be a number in brackets to represent the number of entries they purchased along with a number assigned to each entry. When creating a nickname, contestants are prohibited from using any inappropriate words that may be offensive to others. Moreover, if you use offensive words, contestants run the risk of not being allowed to participate in this or any future contests and their entry fee will not be refunded

Also covered on the main site, from Week 2 forward, each game will lock five minutes before its associated kick-off time. Additionally, if a contestant does not select a team by Monday, September 8, 2025 at 8:15 PM ET, their entry will be eliminated from the contest
