The boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul is quite strange. We could not pit two opponents against each other who were more opposite one another. Mayweather is a classic, a vet. Paul is a relatively new Youtube sensation. There are 18 years separating the two.

The fight will take place Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Because two are in different weight classes, this is an exhibition match.

Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather is considered one of the best boxers ever to exist. He has won all 50 of his competition bouts, and few doubt that his streak will be broken in February.

Although he has not fought since New Year’s Eve 2018 when he flew to Japan for an exhibition match, we expect him to be able to handle the competition in this case. In that fight, he knocked out Tenshin Nasukawa in just 139 seconds. For that, he earned $9Million–not a bad pay rate if you ask me.

His last competitive match was against the legendary Connor McGregor. Mayweather won via stoppage in the tenth round. He has faced some of the greatest fighters around and always, literally always, came out on top.

Logan Paul

Logan Paul is most famous for his Youtube channel and his podcast Impaulsive. Over 20 million people have subscribed to his Youtube channel.

Paul has also found success as an actor. He has had roles in Law and Order, Thinning (2016), and Thinning: A New World Order (2018).

So what is this guy doing going up against one of the best boxers ever? Good question.

He has only had one professional fight. It was in November of 2019. And he lost. One has to wonder what he is thinking taking on the legendary Mayweather. He likely does not think he will win but is looking to increase his celebrity status even more.

Mayweather-Paul Betting Picks

There are lots of great bets for this match. Of course, the most common type of bet is the outright, or the moneyline. Who do you think will win? Even though the profit margin will be very low, the clear pick here is Mayweather. If anything in this world were certain, this outcome would be in that column. This is the classic definition of a safe bet.

Other more interesting bets include how the win will be earned. Because of the size, experience, and skill difference between the two, this is likely to be a knockout. We would be very surprised if Paul lasted as long as McGregor. No, forcing some other type of win is very unlikely.

There is still the over/under bet. In this case you will be getting more value for your risk. Expect this to be a quick fight. It will likely finish in the first round. Because this is far less certain than the moneylines, you will likely get a bit more money, while still being a relatively safe bet.
