The 2025 Formula 1 season continues and heads to Singapore for the 18th round of the 24-round season. That race is the Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix. With the teams well into the second half of the season, McLaren has the top two drivers in the standings in Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. However, Max Verstappen of Team Red Bull has won the two most recent F1 races after starting in the pole position in both competitions.

In the 2024 edition of the Singapore GP, Norris claimed victory, beating out  Verstappen and Piastri. Norris started the race in the pole position. No driver has won the Singapore GP in back-to-back years since Lewis Hamilton did so in 2017-2018. Norris, who has five wins this season, looks to break that streak.

We’ll look ahead to the race as we provide you with our best free F1 betting picks to try and earn you some extra cash while you enjoy the action on the track.

Lando Norris (+200)

McLaren has been the dominant team on the grid this season, and Lando Norris is second to teammate Oscar Piastri in the drivers’ standings with 299 points to Piastri’s 324.

The 25-year-old driver won the opening race of the season in Australia but then had to wait until Monaco to claim his second victory. Norris placed second and 18th in his next two outings before winning back-to-back races in Austria and England. He fell to second in Belgium, but picked up his fifth victory of the year in Hungary. He then missed the podium in two races before finishing second at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Norris is the defending winner on this track.

Oscar Piastri (+225)

The current betting favorite to win the 2025 F1 Drivers’ Championship is McLaren star Oscar Piastri. The 24-year-old is currently in the top spot in the Drivers’ Standings with 324 points, which puts him 25 points ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris.

The Australian driver has been in fantastic form so far this season, winning seven of the 17 races so far – with victories in China, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Miami, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Piastri has also earned three runner-up spots and four third-place finishes. The only races he hasn’t stood on the podium were Australia (ninth), Canada (fourth), and the recent Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where he crashed out on the first lap. His retirement marked the first time he failed to finish a race since the 2023 United States GP in October 2023.

Piastri’s previous appearance in Singapore saw him finish third in 2024.

Max Verstappen (+225)

The reigning and defending world championMax Verstappen, has had a mixed season in 2025 for Red Bull, but he has been impressive in his past three starts, starting on the pole and winning in Italy and Azerbaijan, while placing second at the Dutch Grand Prix. Verstappen is the only F1 driver to win back-to-back races this year, which he has done twice. In Singapore, he looks to become the first man to win three straight in 2025.

Verstappen is in third place in the Drivers’ Standings with 255 points.

The four-time champion, Verstappen, has never won this race, but he has twice finished in second place, in 2018 and last year.
