The 1st leg was one of those matches that must have had Pep Guardiola quietly raging by the end of the match. City went 1-0 up after 27 minutes through Riyad Mahrez, and were in complete control of the match. From a City perspective, it felt like a tie that could have been put to bed on the night. But when it comes to making picks, it’s going to take a brave soul to back against Pep’s team. In the big games this season, City have pulled a result out of the hat. When they went to Premier League leaders Arsenal in mid February needing a win, they produced one of their best performances of the season, and left with a comfortable 3-1 win.
City knows how to get the job done when it matters most. And we think they will beat Leipzig on Tuesday.
