Below you’ll find a list of favorites to win the 2025 NFL regular season MVP Award.
A two-time MVP winner, Jackson won the award in 2019 and 2023 before turning in a sensational MVP-worthy campaign in 2024 but falling just short in the voting.
The Baltimore Ravens star quarterback was the leading passer in the league and led the way with yards per attempt and deep-ball efficiency. In fact, his season was so good was that he claimed the position of First-Team All-Pro ahead of the 2024 MVP Josh Allen.
Jackson also threw 41 touchdown passes and just four interceptions across the season as the Ravens reached the divisional finals before defeat to the Bills.
Now Baltimore come into the 2025 season as the team who are second-favorites to win the Super Bowl, and Jackson will have his key weapons back following injury-hit campaigns. 28-year-old Jackson is entering his physical prime now, and if he is able to stay healthy and keep up his level of performance then he will undoubtedly be in the conversation for a third MVP award.
With odds of +525 the value isn’t the greatest considering the competition he faces for the award, but he is without a doubt one of the top contenders on paper so if you fancy him to get the job done then this is a good price.

There is nobody who is a fan of the NFL who believes that Joe Burrow isn’t one of the very best quarterbacks in the league, but now it feels like he needs to take the next step up to be undisputed.
The performance of the Bengals in recent years has almost certainly hindered him, because their defensive record means that they don’t win games they’re supposed to and don’t go as deep into the season as his talent suggests they should.
Burrow’s season in 2024 was arguably MVP worthy itself. He led the league with 4,918 passing yards and 43 touchdowns, while he also completed 70.6% of his passes across the season – a career-high percentage for him. That number would have been enough to be number one ranked in three of the last four seasons, showing how good he was individually.
The Bengals will have star men Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins available again, and Burrow’s relationship with them means he could put up similar numbers again. If he can do that, he’ll be right in the conversation for the first MVP award of his career.
With odds of +600 available there is good value on a first-time winner here, and the narrative after Josh Allen’s win last year means plenty may be taking a closer look at him.
Undoubtedly the best quarterback in the NFL, Mahomes is coming off a campaign where he wasn’t at his best and still managed to reach the Super Bowl for a third consecutive season.
The Kansas City Chiefs made it all the way through the season despite Mahomes finishing with fewer than 4,000 passing yards – the first time that has happened in his NFL career. But as a two-time MVP winner, people simply expect more and his numbers were only enough to earn him a sixth-place finish in the 2024 running.
The response to the disappointing Super Bowl result will be key to Mahomes’ chances here. If the Chiefs bounce back with a bang, it’s because their star quarterback is back at his best. If they’re playing the long game though, he will do better but it may not be enough.
But considering who Mahomes is and what we all know he is capable of, odds of +600 for the two-time MVP and three-time Super Bowl champion to do it again seem high and this is a great bet.

The 2024 MVP, Allen comes into the new season with heightened expectations and full of confidence for the new season.
After landing 40 total touchdowns and just six interceptions (the lowest in his career), he dropped the volume of his attempts. But a second year under Joe Brady could bring a return to 500+ pass attempts, especially with an elite offensive line and that could bolster his chances.
But one of the biggest issues Allen faces is the fact he’s the reigning champion, because it’s incredibly rare that anyone goes back-to-back.
Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning are the only players to have won the MVP award in consecutive years since 2000, and we saw in 2024 that he benefited directly from that as he pipped Lamar Jackson to the award despite not being as good as him statistically.
Allen has the capability of turning in an undeniable season as one of the best three quarterbacks in the league, and odds of +675 are strong. But history is against him, so this feels like a bet to avoid.
