Anyone else counting down the days for the U.S. Open to get here? Each and every summer, the stands are packed in Queens, New York for the annual event that’s no question one of the best tennis tournaments of the year. So, who will end up taking home the glory? It’s going to be a fun couple of weeks in New York, but if you ask us, Jannik Sinner is our pick to win the 2025 U.S. Open.
Sinner is no question still pretty dang fired up over what he was able to get done in London earlier this summer. In case you somehow missed it, Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz reached the final and it was a matchup that everyone was excited to see. Sinner lost the first set, but then he won the next three to close things out. It was an unreal performance and now he’s ready for more.

“I had a very tough loss in Paris. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter how you win or you lose the important tournaments,” Sinner said after winning Wimbledon. “You just have to understand what you did wrong. Trying to work on that — that’s exactly what we did. We tried to accept the loss and then just kept working. And this is, for sure, why I’m holding this trophy here.”

He avoided several championship points vs. Sinner to win the French Open. He’s now focused on a little bit of revenge on Sinner too.
“I just left the court with the head really, really high because I did everything that I could today,” Alcaraz said following his loss in the Wimbledon final against Sinner. “I just want to think, OK, I just played a final in a Grand Slam, and try to forget that I lost it. It’s just about [the fact] I was able to play in it. So, right now I’m not bad at all. I’m just happy.”

Time and time again, Sabalenka has proven that she’s one of the best players on the planet and now she’s going to want to send a statement in New York. It’s not going to be easy for her, but she has no question silenced plenty of her haters this year.
Plenty of tennis fans will be watching things closely, especially with Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff hoping to knock Sabalenka off of her perch. Gauff is going to have a ton of people watching her, as the American will be hoping to win the U.S. Open and give the local fans something to cheer about. Gauff has been stellar early on in her career, which has been awesome to see.
Gauff will be ready to do the unthinkable, but that’s of course not going to be easy for her at all. Sabalenka will make sure of that. With the tournament now a few weeks away, she’s going to want to be Uber-focused and make sure that she can impress from start to finish. The loaded field will be ready to take her down, but we’re going with Sabalenka as our pick to win it all.
