Come July 19, boxing fans across the planet are going to be fired up to see how things are going to go down between Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk for the second time. Two years ago, Usyk had no issues going up against Dubois, taking him down in the ninth round. From that moment, though, Dubois has been motivated for revenge. With that said, Daniel Dubois is hoping to pull off an upset vs. Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch.
Will he be able to get that job done? Things of course aren’t going to be easy there, as Usyk has proven on several different occasions that he’s one of the best fighters on the planet. His work against Tyson Fury is something that can’t be forgotten. It’s no surprise that he’s a heavy favorite against Dubois. However, the underdog could care less about the odds – he’s ready to stun the rest of the world later this month.

“These Ukrainians, they do all his mind work and mind control stuff, so I just need to be right physically, spiritually and that will be enough on the night,” Dubois said in a presser. He’s always in that [mind games]. I think he’s a boring guy. He is at home doing his mind (expletive). You got to just beat him in a ring.”
The odds have been moving around a bit according to the top boxing betting sites out there, but Dubois indeed is a big-time underdog for this one. The best betting sites have him listed at around +275, which shows just how much of a favorite Usyk is. Will Dubois be able to pull off one of the biggest wins of the year in the sport, or will Usyk have no issues once again in this one? We’re going with the latter.
Allow us to make one thing pretty darn clear here – Oleksandr Usyk is no question our pick to post a win vs. Daniel Dubois. Usyk holds -420 odds out of Las Vegas, which is pretty darn eye-opening. The thing that makes Usyk so dangerous is that he can take you down at any moment because of his unreal power. When he matched up against Fury, the size difference stood out. However, Usyk didn’t let that alter his mindset one bit.
“Fireworks, it’s going to be bombs away on the night,” Dubois told Sky Sports in an interview in June. “I’m going to be the one throwing the bombs, coming through whatever I’ve got to come through. I’m not going to be denied.”
Interested in getting in on the betting action too? While a ton of the focus is on the meeting between Usyk and Dubois, don’t forget that there are going to be some pretty great fights across the board on the way for the sports. The promos across the board are pretty eye-opening. Fans can also take a look at our best betting guides to help them prepare for decisions. You could even give them a look leading up to the Usyk vs. Dubois battle.
Back to the fight, Usyk is going to want to make a statement. At the same time, you’ve got to have a feeling that the Ukrainian sensation has also been paying close attention to all of the trash talk that Dubois has been firing off in recent weeks. He’d love to shut him up by posting another dominant win with the rest of the world watching. We think he will, which is why we’re doubling down with Usyk as our pick.
In terms of the method of the win, look for Usyk to record a TKO victory over Dubois at Wembley Stadium. The stands at Wembley are expected to be packed for this one. What, you think the iconic stadium can only reach its maximum capacity for a huge football match? Not a chance, as ticket sales have been flying and people are jacked up to see this one.
Usyk is of course no stranger to ending fights with a blistering shot. This is also something Dubois knows all about, as Usyk took him down in that fashion the last time these two put the gloves on. We have a feeling this time around that things are going to last more than nine rounds, but when it’s all said and done, something tells us that another TKO will be on the way.
It might happen in Round 10 or Round 11, but it’s coming. The oddsmakers seem to agree with this, as Usyk has been given -105 boxing betting odds to post a TKO win. Dubois is going to be more careful on the defensive end, but it won’t matter much. We’re rocking with a TKO on the way for Usyk, who will surely have his hand raised by the ref once July 19 gets here.
