Now with the 2025-26 college football season officially kicking off, BetNow has some excellent futures markets for its patrons to check out this year. While the array of bonuses, contents, and promotions at the site has been covered in this space before, BetNow has updated futures on who will be the winner of the 2025-26 SEC Championship this upcoming season. Per the site, the Georgia Bulldogs are favored at +220 to take home the crown once again in the SEC, followed closely by rivals, Texas (+250), LSU (+500), and Alabama (+600). In a conference known for some heavyweight collisions, this season promises to feature some all-time battles. With Georgia winning last season, it will be interesting to see if they can hold off their rivals, along with stalwart Florida (+1600).
For this report, SBS will be going over the latest gaming news coming from BetNow, along with some additional notes and info coming from the website and beyond.
Last year, the Bulldogs were able to score another conference championship, even with some missteps during the year. Finishing with an 11-3 mark overall, including a 6-2 record in SEC play, Georgia was able to outlast Texas in a classic SEC title game, 22-19. The Dawgs were ranked as the No. 5 team in the country at the time, and the Longhorns were recognized as the second-best team in America. Georgia advanced to the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal, where they lost to eventual runners-up Notre Dame, 23-10 at the Sugar Bowl. Head coach Kirby Smart called the season, “the toughest of my tenure, easily the toughest of my tenure.” The Bulldogs opened this year’s campaign, though, with a dominating win at home over Marshall, winning by a mark of 45-7.
Noted above, Texas had a fantastic campaign last season, but they are looking to get over the proverbial hump this year, especially with Heisman frontrunner Arch Manning at the helm. Led by head coach Steve Sarkisian, the Longhorns had their first season in the SEC last year, and advanced all the way to the CFP semifinals, losing to Ohio State, but being recognized as Peach Bowl champions. On September 15th of last year, Texas was ranked as the No. 1 team in the Associated Press poll (AP Top 25) for the first time since 2008. Led by the star-crossed young Manning, the Longhorns have huge aspirations this year. However, in a rematch from last year’s epic CFP tilt, Texas once again faltered, losing to Ohio State in Columbus, 14-7. Nonetheless, they will have plenty more opportunities to bounce back.
Last season, the Tigers went 9-4 overall, but only mustered a record of 5-3 in hyper-competitive SEC play. This season, though, has gotten off to a much more exciting start, with a fantastic 17-10 win over No. 4 Clemson in Death Valley. In this game, quarterback Garrett Nussmeir established himself as a Heisman Trophy contender in his own right with 238 passing yards and one score. In the process, outdueling Clemson’s star signal-caller Cade Klubnik. Additionally, the Tigers are aiming for even more history this year as head coach Brian Kelly enters his fourth season at the helm. LSU has the athletes and playmakers to make some noise, but the SEC season is a long and daunting one.
Alabama, once known as the proverbial king of the Southeastern Conference, seems to have taken a step back as of late. While the Crimson Tide did finish with a respectable mark of 9-4 last season (and an AP Top 17 ranking), there are whispers that the team is not as dominating as they were under former head coach Nick Saban. Perhaps there needs to be more evidence to this case than the 31-17 beatdown they suffered at the hands of then-unranked Florida State to start this year’s campaign. Of course, Alabama has a strong tradition of excellence and success, but this could snowball into a bigger issue as the team looks to correct the course. They will have two home games back-to-back before a huge clash on the road at Georgia on September 27th.
The final team on this list, Florida, is another SEC mainstay that can emerge as a dark horse this season. Of course, the Gators will need to get past the cream of the SEC crop to make a case here, but “The Swamp” is about as intimidating a college football atmosphere as there is. So one would be foolish to write off the Gator this early on.
