Pro hoops is back and BetNow has rolled out and updated its Weekly NBA Contest that is ready to roll on the contests page on the website. Per the site, there will be $10,000 given away per week until the end of the NBA regular season. All BN clients will have one FREE online entry into the BetNow Weekly NBA Contest. Each week, clients must select the straight up winners from 14 NBA games with the tiebreaker. Additionally, each winning pick will be awarded one point and final results will be posted by Wednesday every week.

For this report, SBS will be going over the latest gaming updates coming from BetNow, along with a variety of excellent notes and news you can find only at SBS.

BetNow competition rewards tie-breaker picks

Noted on the same contest page, the tie breaker is the total points in games(s) marked as (tb). There are also a variety of rules that qualified customers can follow on this page which includes a lot of traditional rules as well. Only one entry per household is allowed and prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged. The consolation winners will be the top 20 scores every week. Moreover, the contestant that picks the perfect week, meaning that all picks for that week won the exact tiebreaker total – will win $10,000.

If more than one person wins the grand prize of $10,000, the prize will be equally split among the winners. Consolation prizes will be given out weekly to the top 20 scoring clients. In case of a tie, the prize will be equally split among the winners and the monetary amount for consolation prizes is based on the amount of entries. Winners will be notified via email within 48 hours of the weekly contest being final. Additionally, all entries must have a valid email address and should a winning notification be undeliverable, it will result in disqualification. The judge’s decision is final here and no rollover attached. Finally, and regular customers are aware, players must be an active client of BN, and as an active client you can enter this contest absolutely free. You can activate it by calling the number at the site or making a deposit at BetNow.

BetNow offering a variety of pro hoops betting markets

Noted on the BetNow  sportsbook, eligible customers can check out a diverse array of betting markets not only on the NBA, but also on a variety of other leagues as well. This includes a variety of markets on the WNBA Playoffs along with EuroLeague basketball too. Not only does BetNow have game odds, but also first and second half totals, in addition to some different futures markets as well. Though this competition is centered around NBA games, it still is worth mentioning the vast variety of sports betting markets available at BetNow on its main page.

For those who are interested, there are some other betting leagues on there as well like the Euro Cup and the ABA League as well. This also includes leagues in South Korea, Spain and also the Russia VTB United League. Additionally, this covers the Sweden BasketLigan and the Germany BBL

Thunder aiming for a repeat performance this year

Perhaps the team to watch more than any other this year is the Oklahoma City Thunder. Led by reigning Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder have an excellent core of players that makes them the odds-on favorite not only at BetNow, but a variety of other sites that have markets on professional basketball too. Per sources, at an average of 25.6 years old, they were the second youngest team to win an NBA Championship, behind only the 1976-77 Portland Trail Blazers. Their Finals victory was the first championship of any major professional sport in the state of Oklahoma.

Moreover, the same article points out, the Thunder also became the fourth team in NBA history to win 84 games or better in a single season, including playoff victories (the Chicago Bulls did it twice, followed by the Golden State Warriors). With the return of Chet Holmgren from injury, the Thunder again exceeded their win expectations behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Holmgren, and second-year forward Jalen Williams. Gilgeous-Alexander finished second in MVP voting behind 30.1 points on a career high 53.5% field goal percentage. Prior to that, the Thunder finished the 2023-24 season 57-25 to finish first in the Northwest Division, first in the Western Conference for the first time since 2013 and qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2020. The race will be a competitive one but the Thunder are the team to beat.
