A win over the Giants to open May made it two wins in a row for the first time this season, but they then once again went on a long losing run as they lost eight in a row. June was a better month as the team picked up ten victories, including three in a row against the Miami Marlins, plus a run of four in a row later in the month over the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals. They then ended the month with eight defeats in ten to enter July with a record of 19-65.

While the Dodgers have had a poor run in recent times, it’s fairly obvious why they’re the favorites to win this game.
