NFL Survivor Contest has new features for 2025 season

Noted on the main site at BetOnline, there are a handful of new updates for the 2025 edition of the Survivor Contest. First, the four NFL games on Thanksgiving and Black Friday will be considered an independent contest week. You must have at least one team available for selection during this contest week or you will be eliminated from the contest. Moreover, the teams playing on Thanksgiving and Black Friday are as follows: the Ravens, Bears, Bengals, Cowboys, Lions, Packers, Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Surviving players will then need to pick a team for the contest period of Sunday, November 30th, and Monday, December 1st.

NFL Contest features various tiers for contest entries

Also covered in the same report, contestants can participate in the Survivor Contest by purchasing at least one entry for $30. For one entry it is $30, entries two through five are $25 each, and entries six through 10 are $20 each. Finally, entries 11 through 25 are $15 each. Moreover, all entry purchases are deducted from the contestant’s BetOnline Sportsbook balance. Also, if you do not purchase all 25 entries, you can come back and purchase more entries at any time until the deadline, which is September 8th at 8:05 pm ET. Registration for the Survivor Contest is only available online and you cannot register via phone, chat, or email.

Also in this contest, all sales are final and there are no refunds. The 2025 NFL season must run at least eight (8) weeks for the contest to be considered official. If the NFL season does not run at least eight weeks, entry fees will be refunded. If the NFL season is not completed as scheduled but lasts eight weeks or more, all remaining entries will split the prize money. Moreover, if the NFL season is suspended (but not canceled), the contests will be suspended until the season resumes. If 90 days pass without the season resuming, entry fees will either be refunded or prizes will be awarded based on the amount of weeks played.

Playing the contest is a very straightforward process

Noted in the article, the contest will feature up to 19 selections made by each entry over 19 Contest Weeks. Additionally, contestants must select one team to win its game outright during each of the contest weeks. Point spreads are irrelevant. If a selected team wins during the contest week, the entry remains alive and advances to the next week. If a selected team loses or ties, the entry is eliminated. Additionally, if a game is canceled or postponed for any reason and the game is not played before the following Wednesday, both teams scheduled to play in that game will be graded as losers.

Per the same report, if the NFL awards a win and a loss for a game before the contest week ends and without the game being played. Any selections for the winning team, as deemed by the NFL, will advance to the next contest week. Selections for the losing team, as deemed by the NFL, will be eliminated from the Contest. Once a team is selected, that team is not available for selection for the remainder of the contest. Also, for content purposes, the Thanksgiving Day plus Black Friday NFL games will be an additional, independent contest week. Also, the other 18 contest weeks will correspond with the NFL regular season and will be moving along each week as the season progresses.
