The first postseason tournament of 2024 is near with the NFL wrapping up its regular season soon. With that in mind, BetOnline has rolled out one of its first promotions of 2024 with its $100,000 NFL Playoff Pick’em contest. Per the main contest page at BetOnline, this promotion is a handicapping contest that runs throughout the 2023-24 NFL Postseason. Registrations open for this event on Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, and will close on Saturday, January 13th, 2024. In terms of how to play, contestants must make a selection, against the spread (ATS) and total, for every NFL Playoff game. At the end of the contest, the players with the most points will win cash prizes, with the first-place prize being $20,000.

For this article, SBS will be going over what to look for from the latest gaming news coming from BetOnline along with more notes and info about the website.

Contestants can enter multiple times in Playoffs promo

As with all BetOnline promotions, contestants must have a valid BetOnline account to register for the NFL Playoff Pick’em Contest. Moreover, per the main site, contestants can participate in the contest by purchasing at least one entry and can enter up to two times. The first entry costs $20, the second entry is just $15, and entry purchases will be deducted from your BetOnline Sportsbook balance. If you do not purchase two entries, you can come back and purchase a second entry at any time until the deadline – Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 1:00 pm ET. Registration for this contest is only available online and you cannot register via phone, chat, or email.

As referenced above, contestants must make picks for every NFL Playoff game with winners accruing points. The odds are determined by the current odds available in the BetOnline Sportsbook and contest picks can only only be made online. Once a pick is made, the pick saves automatically with the odds available at the time of selection. Per the rules page, contestants earn one (1) point for every correct pick and a half-point (0.5) for a push. Contestants may submit and/or change picks at any time until the specified start time of each game. At the specified star time, games are no longer available for selection and any picks involving that game cannot be changed.

$100,000 guaranteed prize pool on the line in contest

Per the rules page, at the end of the contest, the players with the most points will win cash prizes based on the chart on the website. As noted above, this includes first place being a cash prize of $20,000 and second and third place being worth $10,000 and $6,000, respectively. After that, the prizes go down by a thousand or five hundred dollar increments for fourth ($5,000), fifth ($4,000), and sixth place ($3,000). After that, their allotments decrease all the way to 150th place ($200). Anyone who scores between 51st and 75th place will receive $300 while anyone who places between 76th and 150th notches a cash prize of $200. Finally, the $100,000 is a cash prize pool with no rollover requirements.

For this contest, there are no tie-breaker questions. If there are ties for any prizes, the money will be split among the tied contestants, along with the next lowest prize per the main website. Moreover, winners will pay directly into their BetOnline accounts by 6:00 pm ET on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 and prizes are non-transferable. There are also other rules to keep in mind for this promotion as contestants cannot select the same side twice or select both sides of the game on a single entry.

Every week, the contest will reopen no later than Tuesday afternoon. At this time, you will be able to select your selection (s) for the week’s upcoming games. Per the main rules page, if a game is canceled and/or postponed, the game must be played by Tuesday of the following week to earn points in the contest standings. Moreover, the NFL Playoffs must be played in their entirety for this contest to be considered valid If the playoffs are canceled at any point, the BetOnline NFL Playoff Pick’em contest will be canceled and all entry fees will be refunded. BetOnline also reserves the right to modify the rules of this contest without notice
