St. Louis Blues vs. Minnesota Wild — (O/U: 5)

The Minnesota Wild are teetering on the brink of elimination and will look to fight another day on Wednesday night when they travel to St. Louis to face the red-hot Blues.

Trailing 3-0 in the best-of-seven Western Conference quarter-final series, the Wild have struggled to find offense against the Blues — scoring just three goals heading into a critical Game 4 contest.

The over/under line for Wednesday’s match between the Blues and Wild is set at 5, however all three games have gone below that mark. St. Louis has been able to average 2.33 goals per game and still lead the series by three games. The Wild are averaging 1 goal per game and in the playoffs, that’s just not going to cut it.

If you think Game 4 will provide more offense, perhaps Bovada’s alternate over/under line of +255 on the teams combining for more than 6.5 goals is the way to go. This series is due for a high-scoring contest and we just may see it on Wednesday night.

Take the over with the Wild living to fight another day.

Pick: Minnesota Wild, over (5)

Washington Capitals vs. Toronto Maple Leafs — (O/U: 5.5)

If you like goals, this is the series you must pay attention to. The Maple Leafs and Capitals — two of the highest scoring teams in the NHL during the 2016-17 season — will clash in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference quarter-final Wednesday night at the Air Canada Centre.

Down 2-1 in the best-of-seven series, the Capitals will be more desperate to defeat the Maple Leafs and go back to Washington deadlocked at two games apiece.

Two of the three games have gone to overtime and produced seven goals. Don’t expect things to tighten up as Bovada is offering an over/under line of 5.5 once again.

NHL odds

Scoring the game’s first goal hasn’t meant much in this series, however Bovada is offering even odds the Maple Leafs will net the opening marker.

Will Alex Ovechkin score a goal? Bovada has an enticing +150 line that he will.

Take the over in this contest with the Maple Leafs coming out on top again.

Pick: Toronto Maple Leafs, over (5.5)

Boston Bruins vs. Ottawa Senators — (O/U: 5)

Nobody expect this to be a high-scoring series but that’s exactly what the Bruins and Senators have provided.

The last two games of the best-of-seven series went over the projected total as the clubs combined for seven goals in each match.

Bovada’s set the line for Wednesday’s contest at 5 and all signs point to yet another over outcome. That’s because the Bruins have been dealing with a depleted blue-line without stalwarts Adam McQuaid and Torey Krug.

There are other compelling alternate over/under lines being offered by Bovada, including the game surpassing 6.5 goals in the contest, which is paying +225 odds.

The Bruins won’t drop two straight on home ice, but expect another wide-open game at TD Garden.

Pick: Boston Bruins, over (5)

Anaheim Ducks vs. Calgary Flames — (O/U: 5)

Facing elimination, the Flames will be in desperation mode Wednesday night when the club hosts the Ducks in Game 4 of their Western Conference quarter-final.

Scoring hasn’t been the issue for either club, as the Flames and Ducks combined for nine goals in a Game 3 overtime thriller.

The over/under line for Wednesday’s matchup is set at 5 and if Game 3 was any indication, we can expect another wide-open affair.

Netting the game’s first goal means a lot more to the Flames, who are attempting to claw their way back from a 3-0 series deficit. Bovada’s offering a +190 line that the team to score the first goal won’t go on to win the match, much like the Flames did in Game 3.

These playoffs have yet to see a clean sweep, but it could very well happen on Wednesday night as the Ducks are much too strong for the Flames to handle. However it won’t be as wide open as expected.

Pick: Anaheim Ducks, under (5)
