MLS Parlay Betting Tips

MLS Parlay Betting Tips
Three good bets are coming your way for this weekend's MLS action. We've got league leaders in danger of falling to late bloomers, losers rebuilding in hopes of salvaging something and two clubs battling it out to see who is less middling.

Take the Union, DC United and Seattle this weekend

Seattle Sounders (-110) vs. Kansas City (+305)

First up we’ve got Sporting Kansas City’s trip to the northwest to visit the Seattle Sounders. The reverse fixture took place three months ago. Sporting — on their way to building a comfortable lead atop the Western Conference — easily dispatched a Sounders side struggling to find any rhythm.

Sporting remain the conference leaders, but have plenty to worry about. Both Texas teams are breathing down their neck as they endure a run of stale form that features only two wins in their last eight attempts.

The Sounders, meanwhile, have claimed all three points in four of their last five matches — a blazing run that has also witnessed Clint Dempsey score five goals and notch two assists.

Seattle’s chances only look better at home, where they have suffered defeat only once this season. It makes sense that Bovada would favor them with a line of -120, while Sporting lies even.

Pick: Seattle -110

DC United (+130) vs. Real Salt Lake (+195)

Across the continent, DC United are operating in crisis mode. They have lost six of their last seven matches and currently sit bottom of the Easter Conference with 19 points from 23 matches played.

With no fear of relegation, DC could have simply written the season off. Instead they are spending August refitting midfield and attack, preparing for next summer’s move for their first purpose-built stadium.

Three new additions have already arrived at the club — two from Germany and one from Chile. A fourth — United States Men’s National Team midfielder Paul Arriola — is set to arrive shortly.

How quickly those new signings mesh with the club remains to be seen, but they represent an upgrade ahead of Real Salt Lake’s visit on Sunday. Bovada doesn’t hold back on their lines, with DC savored at +130 compared to Real’s +195. It would not shock if the psychological boost of new signings translates to improvement on the pitch.

Pick: DC United +130

Philadelphia Union (-115) vs. Montreal Impact (+295)

Finally, we’ve got the Montreal Impact traveling to Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Union are massive favorites at home, with -115 odds on the moneyline compared to the Impact’s +295 long shot odds.

Both teams are the definition of middling, having failed to find much rhythm in 2017. If we’re going to distinguish these teams then, it might be best to look at their most recent matches.

Montral narrowed the gap between them and conference rivals Orlando City, who they now trail by three points with two games in hand. That win pales in comparison to the Union’s 3-1 victory over a FC Dallas team that rarely slips up.

Assuming momentum exists, Bovada’s lines appear close to accurate. This might end up being a draw, but the Union should build on the confidence from last week’s three points.

Pick: Union -115
