Marc Marquez a Huge Favorite to Win the Americas’ Grand Prix MotoGP

Marc Marquez a Huge Favorite to Win the Americas’ Grand Prix MotoGP
Spanish superstar Marc Marquez looks set to continue his incredible record in the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas that takes place in Austin, Texas on Sunday 14th April. Marquez has won the Grand Prix of North America for six consecutive years and everything points towards him making it seven in a row.

The 2019 Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas takes place at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday 14th April and it is Respol Honda’s Marc Marquez who is the odds on favorite to win this MotoGP.

  • Marc Marquez has won all six Grand Prix of the Americas
  • Marc Marquez is a -350 favorite to win the Americas MotoGP
  • Andrea Dovizioso is the +800 joint-second favorite for glory
  • Valentino Rossi is a +800 joint-second favorite to win this race
  • All other riders are priced at +1400 or above

Marc Marquez Almost Certain to Win the Grand Prix of The Americas

The MotoGP USA odds suggest Respol Honda’s Marc Marquez will easily win the Grand Prix of The Americas as he is priced at -350 with his nearest rival coming in at +800. It is easy to see why this is the case because Marquez has dominated this MotoGP stop since its creation in 2013.

Marquez won the inaugural Grand Prix of The Americas back in 2013 and has won this race every year since, meaning the talented Spaniard has won all six races on this circuit, which is an incredible achievement. To make matters worse for the other riders, Marquez has started the 2019 MotoGP season in hot form, finishing second in Qatar before winning the Argentinian Grand Prix.

Unless Marquez does not finish the race, he looks almost certain to win what would be his seventh consecutive MotoGP Grand Prix of The Americas.

Could Andrea Dovizioso or Valentino Rossi Cause an Upset?

The only riders who could realistically stop Marquez from winning yet another MotoGP in Texas would be Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso or Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi, although this looks unlikely with how previous Grand Prix of The Americas have panned out and how this season has gone so far.

Dovizioso may have won the opening MotoGP in Qatar, beating Marquez to the finish line but he only did so by 0.023 seconds in what was a thrilling end to the race. At the recent Argentina Grand Prix, Dovizioso finished 10.53 seconds behind Marquez.

Rossi should never be written off in any race but the MotoGP odds of +800 in this race just do not look tempting enough to make a significant wager. Rossi was 9.816 seconds off the pace in Argentina last time out and “The Doctor” finished way back in fourth-place at the 2018 Grand Prix of The Americas almost 9.6 seconds behind the dominant Marquez.

Whoever finishes above Marquez on the podium at the USA MotoGP will win the race. Never has a single MotoGP race looked so one-sided.
