The Calgary Flames, at a moment in time, were one of the National Hockey League’s most feared teams. With the likes of Lanny McDonald, Joe Nieuwendyk, Doug Gilmour, Gary Roberts and Theo Fleury, the Flames dominated the NHL during the late 1980s, winning back-to-back Presidents’ Trophies and grabbing the franchise’s first and only Stanley Cup in 1989. During that same year, the Flames enjoyed its best-ever season with a record of 54-17-9 for 117 points.
Shortly after that banner year, however, the Flames fizzled out — being eliminated in the first round six out of the next seven seasons. By the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Flames hit a wall and missed the playoffs seven straight years. Then stepped in Darryl Sutter, who resurrected the once-mighty Flames and brought the team back to the finals during the 2003-04 season. Calgary ended up losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games.

Take a peak at where the Flames sit in the Western Conference standings before placing your bets.
How To Win At Calgary Flames Betting
The Flames are built strongly at the back, with as deep a group of defensemen as any NHL team can boast. Up front, they are loaded with emerging scorers and that combination should be able to keep the Flames in the game more often than not.
Calgary generally plays exceptionally well in front of its home fans but traditionally tend to struggle on the road. In the deep Pacific Division and the rugged Western Conference, Calgary’s best hope for a playoff spot each season is usually to earn one of the two wildcard positions up for grabs.
