2015 was one of the best finishes for FC Dallas in franchise history. After an 18-10-6 regular season, Dallas came out as the top seed in the Western Conference and managed to advance as far as the Conference Finals. The team’s season record was actually tied with the Supporters’ Shield winners, the New York Red Bulls. Dallas had a inferior goal differential, though. FC Dallas was one of the ten MLS charter teams that emerged in 1996. The team’s original name was the Dallas Burn – a reference to the hot weather of Texas.
The Burn’s first major success came the year after its establishment, when the team defeated D.C. United to capture the first US Open Cup title. Two years later, American striker Jason Kreis set a precedent for becoming the first MLS player to record 15 goals and 15 assists.
It was in 2005 that the team adopted its current name – FC Dallas. That same year, Dallas made its second appearance in the US Open Cup, losing to the New England Revolution. Coincidentally, the team experienced an identical situation two years later in the 2007 US Open Cup. In 2006, Dallas finished first in the Western Conference for the first time. But Dallas’ most memorable accomplishment was in 2010 when they played in their first MLS Cup Final. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be as FC Dallas was upended at the last hurdle by the Colorado Rapids. Jeff Cunningham – the MLS’ second all-time leading scorer – led the team in scoring that year.

How To Win At FC Dallas Betting
Almost every team in the MLS seems to have a noticeable advantage on home field. FC Dallas is certainly no exception.
In 2015, Dallas had a 13-2-2 home record compared to a 5-8-4 away record. Although the results do vary by year, it is generally safe to assume that the team has a much better chance of winning at Toyota Stadium than on their travels.
In terms of team performance, 2015 saw strong team performances on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball for FC Dallas. FC Dallas scored 52 goals during the 2015 season, the second most of any Western Conference team.
Unlike some teams, where a single player may contribute as many as a third of all the goals, Dallas evenly distributes its scoring niceely – an indication that Dallas relies on strong team chemistry to generate its goals. They’re not so reliant on one star player.
Defensively, Dallas allowed only 39 goals in 2015, one of the lowest totals in the league. Goalkeepers Jesse Gonzales and Chris Seitz together faced only 74 shots during 2015, which is a fraction of what other goalkeepers in the league had to face.
