The San Francisco 49ers are one of the biggest names in American Football,
Linebacker Patrick Willis retired due to injuries in both feet, while his proposed replacement Chris Borland did exactly the same due to head trauma just a week later.
The 49ers simply never recovered, going 5-11 with a shocking away record of just a single win on the road from eight games. Tomsula was fired in January 2016, and Chip Kelly hired the same month in an attempt to rebuild once again.
Even if Kelly is unable to steer the 49ers to a miraculous NFC West title or the playoffs, some local pride would be good. The long-held rivalry with the Los Angeles Rams exists from their days in St. Louis and will really be ignited by the Rams’ relocation to LA.

How To Win Your San Francisco 49ers Bets
While they are classed as rank outsiders for both the NFC West (+2500) and Super Bowl itself (+10000), San Francisco will undoubtedly be doing everything they can to return to the top of a sport they previously dominated during the early 1980’s to mid 1990’s.
2015/16 was another disappointing campaign, the 49ers finishing bottom of the NFC West. Despite that, there were some highlights as they went 4-4 at home and gave the local San Francisco fans something to cheer.
Once again, 2015/16 showed that Blaine Gabbert can be the San Francisco 49ers go-to guy, as the 26-year-old quarterback demonstrated he still has what it takes to worry any NFL defense.
Despite some good players, the 49ers look short of being the kind of team to trouble the Arizona Cardinals or Seattle Seahawks. The NFC West is an unforgiving division and we wouldn’t advocate backing the 49ers to finish anywhere near the top of it. They are capable of creating the odd shock at home, however, and this is the pretty much the only market we’d back betting into.
