Though the Titans again finished with one of the worst records in the NFL at 3-13, Tennessee looks to be a team on the rise through the combination of some promising young stars, a strong draft cache and a key free agent pick-up. With new head coach Mike Mularkey — who served as the team’s interim head coach for the last nine games of the 2015 season — taking the reigns, the Titans will look to some big improvements in 2016. Tennessee’s marquee player is former number two overall draft pick Marcus Mariota.
The Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon had a strong start to his rookie season with a near perfect debut and finished the year with 19 touchdowns to only 10 interceptions. Indeed Mariota will be the centerpiece, but he will also benefit from a couple new faces in Nashville.
It seems as though DeMarco Murray is playing musical chairs with the NFL as he is on his third pro team in the last three years. The running back was most recently with the Philadelphia Eagles, but a lackluster year in Philly along with the firing of head coach Chip Kelly, led to Murray getting traded away to the Titans at a bargain price.
While the former Oklahoma Sooner couldn’t quite find his footing as an Eagle, he still has enough tread to regain his former glory. A former Offensive Player of the Year (2014), two-time All-Pro and the Dallas Cowboys’ single season rushing record holder (1,845), Murray is the most explosive tailback to lace up for the Titans since Chris Johnson was in his prime.
Joining Murray as a new face in the Tennessee backfield is former Alabama standout Derrick Henry. The 2015 Heisman Trophy winner was selected in the second of the draft by the Titans and will give Tennessee one of the most intimidating one-two punches in the league.
Henry was the best running back in all of college football last season, so look for the Titans to utilize their young weapons to their fullest ability. Clearing the way for the two bruising backs will be a couple of promising young offensive linemen in center Ben Jones, 2014 first rounder Taylor Lewan and 2016 first round pick tackle Jack Conklin. All three, in addition to guard Chance Warmack and Pro Bowl tight end Delanie Walker, should turn a lot of heads in the AFC South this season.

How To Win At Tennessee Titans Betting
Though Mariota and the rest of the Titans offense have been garnering the most headlines this season in the Music City, the Tennessee defense has some personnel that could make some big moves. Defensive end Jurrell Casey is the best of the bunch after coming off a Pro Bowl appearance in 2015.
Casey was selected as an alternate to the past two Pro Bowls but declined the invitations. Even though he is only 26 years old going into the season, Casey is a big-time defensive leader and one of the best linemen in the NFL.
The outside linebacker duo of Derrick Morgan and three-time Pro Bowler Brian Orakpo is one of the best in the game today. Both players are under 30 years of age and have a knack for getting to the quarterback.
The Titans have some promising pass rushers on their team, but that merely covers up the weaknesses they have in the secondary. Cornerback Jason McCourty is one of the stronger players in the defensive backfield, but the Titans have a lot of young and unproven players that make up the bulk of their secondary.
Tenessee might still be a year or two off from contending, but the Titans have one of the more promising futures of any team in the AFC South.
