In 2015, the AFC South was one of the weaker divisions in all of professional football, although there seems to be some big-time potential for a resurgence in 2016. The
The Jaguars (5-11) and Titans (3-13) finished in third and fourth place, respectively. Though each team definitely has their weaknesses, the talent in the division this season is leaps and bounds better than last season.
Houston upgraded its quarterback in a big way by signing Peyton Manning’s understudy in Denver, Brock Osweiler, to a huge free agent deal. The Texans also feature the potentially lethal pass rushing duo of Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt and Jadaveon Clowney. Houston’s defense is the best on paper of any team in the AFC South, but they will have to rely heavily on Osweiler to take the offense to the next level following the departure All-Pro running back Arian Foster. Though the emergence of DeAndre Hopkins as an All-Pro wide receiver will take the load off the young quarterback, the Texans will need to find a viable replacement for Foster.
While the Texans are the incumbent champions, the Colts are still a favorite to return to the top of the division, especially if Andrew Luck is still in blue and white. A former Stanford standout, Luck is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and the best signal-caller in the division.
Indianapolis features the best offense in the AFC South with different stars ranging from wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and running back Frank Gore to breakout candidates like wideout Donte Moncrief and tight end Dwyane Allen. Luck has his pick of the litter when it comes to receiving targets. The achilles heel for Indy in 2016 could be their suceptible offensive line can and whether it can keep Luck healthy. Also, their defense needs to continually improve to challend for the division crown.

How To Win At AFC South Betting
If the Colts and Texans are the big brothers of the division, the Jags and Titans certainly have filled the roles of disgruntled younger brothers for some time now. That all might change soon as both Tennessee and Jacksonville seem to have found their quarterbacks of the future in Marcus Mariota and Blake Bortles.
Mariota put together one of the strongest rookie seasons for a quarterback in NFL history and Bortles shattered every major Jaguars passing record last season. Both teams have the potential to make some noise, but they still have a lot of defensive holes to fill.
Jacksonville has some of the best young defensive talent in the division, especially after drafting safety Jalen Ramsey in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. While it’s hard to say if these picks will pan out, the Jaguars have certainly made an effort to upgrade their defense to deal with other potent quarterbacks in the division.
Tennessee will have the best running attack of any of the teams in 2016 with former All-Pro DeMarco Murray and 2015 Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry, a two-headed monster tandem.
Although it is very early on, the AFC South should be significantly better as a whole from 2015.
