Best Euro 2016 Betting Sites

Euro 2016 is just around the corner and the world of soccer is giddy with excitement. Major championships always bring about some intriguing match-ups and fantastic new players that tear it up. Look for players who have had excellent club seasons to hit the ground running and fire their respective teams into the business end of the tournament. International football can bring about some very one-sided matches at times, so instead of going to the moneyline, dip into other markets to maximize your winnings potential. [+]

Markets such as group winner, top goalscorer and over/under total goals will become your friend in one-sided match-ups and groups. The spread is also worth looking at when soccer powerhouses like Germany, France and holders Spain take on much weaker opposition.

Keep a close eye on all team news during the tournament. Being on top of injuries, suspensions and even knowing who is in the manager’s good books can all help you make more money this summer.

This serves as a great overview to the tournament as a whole. You can see what teams are flying in their groups, which can help you predict the knockout stages more accurately.

Keep an eye on which teams are close to advancing from their group with a few games to go. Motivation for these players will be high as they will be desperate to make it to the knockout stages.

Goal difference can sometimes be a factor too. If so, we can expect to see an open game as one side will be pushing for the goals required while being susceptible to the counter attack.

How To Win At Euro 2016 Betting

To make money on the major championships you need to look very closely at team news and the current situation of each team. You can’t just look at the fixture and blindly pick the better team ‘on paper’. If a team has already secured a place in the knockout stages but cannot be group leaders then essentially there is nothing to play for and they will likely start a weakened side.

I would steer clear of the outright winner market altogether. France and Germany are the two favorites to win the competition and rightly so. However, at +300 the odds are too short to offer value. If you like the futures play then look at the group winners market as well as top goal scorer market.

The latter is a very interesting one. Cristiano Ronaldo is currently second favorite as top goal scorer at +800. He is one of the worlds best for sure, but Portugal are unlikely to get to the latter stages and he is no longer surrounded by world beaters like he is week in week out at Real Madrid.

We like Thomas Muller at +700, or even Diego Costa at +2000, both of whom offer better value as those teams are likely to get more games in the tournament. My top pick for goal scorer, though, is Frenchman Griezmann at +900. He is surrounded by world class players and having the season of his life at Atletico Madrid.

In-play markets are another great idea for international games. These are not teams and players we are all super familiar with. As individuals yes, but not as a team. So look to give games 10-15 minutes and see how each team starts and then go into the over/under market or even the spread.

Sometimes your selection will  be burned by an early goal, but this can work for and against you, so overall it is still a good decision to wait and see how games start first.
