The Milwaukee Brewers hail from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they play their home games in the National League Central division in Major League Baseball. Having been established in 1969, the Milwaukee Brewers are one of the newer MLB franchises, although at the completion of the 2015 season, the Brewers had played a total of 7,481 regular season games, finishing with a win-loss record of 3,569 – 3,912 (.477). Back in 1982, the Brewers won the American League East Division and the American League Pennant.
That was the team’s one and only appearance in the World Series. However, the St. Louis Cardinals proved too strong for them, and they lost by four games to three.
Fast forward to 2011, and that is the last time fans of the Brewers saw a trophy head to their team. In 2011, the Brewers clinched their first division title for 29 years, but then lost the National League Championship Series in six games to the eventual World Series champions, the St. Louis Cardinals.
In 2015, the Brewers finished fourth in the National League Central division with a 68-94 record (34-47 home and 34-47 away), for what was quite a disappointing season; only the Cincinnati Reds fared worse in this division, which the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Chicago Cubs dominated.

Milwaukee Brewers Standings Right Now
Let’s take a look at the Milwaukee Brewers standings right now and see how they are shaping up against arguably the best three teams in the league.
How To Win At Milwaukee Brewers Betting
If you are looking to make money betting on the Milwaukee Brewers you may be best betting against them, seeing how they lost almost a third more games than they won in 2015.
Milwaukee really need to improve their batting, ranked 22nd in 2015, if they are to improve their recent results. The fact their best batting player was 57th in the MLB last season speaks volumes.
148 home runs just isn’t good enough to compete with the big boys, neither is scoring a mere 655 runs. How they approach this is anyone’s guess, but it does need sorting sooner rather than later.
The same can be said for pitching, where Milwaukee were ranked 24th during 2015, allowing their opponents a BAA of .261 and managing only seven shutouts, while having a high ERA of 4.28.
Milwaukee did have Adam Lind on their book, a player ranked eighth in the MLB during 2015. However, Lind now plays for the Seattle Mariners and is going to be a huge gap to fill for the Brewers.
The Brewers are not a bad team, they are just unlucky to be in a division with three of the best MLB teams, which makes them look worse than they are.
You may find value betting on the Brewers when they face the likes of the Cincinnati Reds as those teams were almost evenly matched last season, but we’d avoid betting on the Brewers reaching the playoffs or other such season-long bets.
