Best Texas Rangers Betting Sites

After a disastrous 2014 season, the Rangers rebounded in a big way in 2015 by winning the AL West and advancing to the Divisional Round of the American League playoffs. Texas locked up the division on the last day of the season by knocking off the Angels and pushed the Toronto Blue Jays to five games in the playoffs. What keyed the success of last season’s squad was the resurgence of designated hitter Prince Fielder and the saavy hitting of veteran Adrian Beltre. Fielder won the 2015 Comback Player of the Year. Beltre, while not making the All-Star team, showed why he is a multiple-time Gold Glove winner.

How To Win At Texas Rangers Betting

Beyond the two veteran hitters, Prince Fielder and Adrian Beltre, both of whom return in 2016, the Rangers saw solid performances from Shin Soo Choo (second on the team in doubles and home runs and first in walks) and shortstop Elvis Andrus (a team-leading 34 doubles and 25 stolen bases).

Unfortunately, the Rangers have already missed time from Soo Choo to start the 2016 season and they also are waiting on the return of former MVP Josh Hamilton. However, what could push the Rangers over the championship is the variable of their pitching rotation all becoming healthy again.

Anchored by multiple time All-Star Cole Hamels (who threw his first no-hitter ever in 2015), the Rangers could have a deadly 1-2 punch with Hamels and Yu Darvish if he can get healthy again. Darvish was one of the most sought-after imports from Japan since Ichiro Suzuki and he was the AL’s strikeout leader in 2013.

With those two potentially headlining the lineup, Texas could make a return trip to the postseason in 2016. With a crafty third pitcher in the rotation in Colby “Cobra” Lewis, the Rangers are pegged by many to make a postseason run again.

With a lineup of multiple former All-Stars, the Rangers should be primed for another AL West title barring any major injuries. The returns of both Darvish and Hamilton will be something to closely look for this season. Hamels would also need to play a bigger role this year as his record of 7-1 in 2015, while serviceable, would need to pick up a lot more weight to take off the other unproven pitchers. The loss of Yovani Gallardo in the offseason only makes it more pressing for Hamels to return to form.

As one of the better road teams in baseball last year, the Rangers notched a record of 45-36 away from Arlington, wagering on them on the road could make for an appealing option. Another idea to look on would be to check out the Rangers against other AL stalwart teams like the Red Sox (5-2 in 2015), Astros (13-6), Yankees (5-2) and Rays (5-2). Though it should be warned that Texas struggled against division rivals Seattle and L.A. who they both finished with 7-12 records against.

Though nothing is certain, it would seem that Texas has made itself the leader in the AL West and the team to beat if their lineup of sold vets can stay off of the disabled list.
